What is the opportunity?

Responsible for delivering a seamless client experience. Coordination and execution of Analyst and Corporate marketing events, collaborating internally, increasing the quality of RBC’s marketing pipeline, ensuring consistent application of global standards and managing feedback data to drive a valued client-focused brand experience.

What will you do?

  • Manage the coordination and execution of logistics for Analyst Marketing and Corporate Marketing. This includes, but not limited to: analyst roadshows, sourcing venues, client targeting, deal and non-deal roadshows, bespoke ( reverse roadshows) and group fieldtrips, site visits, seminars, conference scheduling, expert events, salesforce briefings, investor/corporate prep packages, feedback and sourcing venues.
  • Partner with Sales, Research and ECM to set event objectives and identify investor targets. Create clear lines of communication pre, during and post event to ensure each event has a successful outcome.
  • Seek out opportunities to connect events that have potential for shared purposes to maximize the region’s marketing pipeline and offer unique views to drive global differentiated events.
  • Partner with Sales and Analysts to collate and organize feedback following marketing events to be shared with corporate clients and corresponding internal partners. Collate feedback post Analyst Marketing events. Share content with Research and Corporate Access team members focused on origination to generate more Corporate Marketing mandates globally.
  • Prepare investor/corporate prep packages, investor profiles and other marketing materials, applying consistent global firm standards to deliver on-brand experience to clients.
  • Maintain promising practices when entering data in the event planning system and CRM and work closely with the Client Submissions team to improve accuracy of our reports. Support the corporate client management process by identifying investor targets for use in formal origination proposals.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key corporate contacts through the coordination and execution process to increase RBC’s brand loyalty.

Primary Responsibilities


- Provide analysis, reporting and planning support to COOs/Senior Management to enable commercial decision making

- Achieve corporate targeted returns by enabling business priorities while controlling costs and impact on capital
- Develop a budget, balancing financial and efficiency commitments, hiring and capacity needs, and risk mitigation

- Strong stakeholder management and previous interaction with leadership groups, COO and business management functions. Capable of building cross-team relationships; gain support from BM community and be able to operate autonomously and influence via informal networks.
- Successful candidate will need experience of vendor management
- Proven experience working in a global facing role within financial services
- Prior experience supervising teams and managing workload
- Prior experience in Client Regulatory Services required
- Experience of process improvement and understanding/experience of LEAN techniques

Team Profile

International Tax Utility (ITU) helps senior management and its individual business units manage the Firm's Tax risk by owning and driving forward the Operational Tax Control framework. Maintaining and enhancing the internal operating processes, the division is crucial to safeguarding the Firm's franchise, proactively identifying and reporting on all in scope Tax risks.

Glasgow ITU consists of 4 teams with 30 staff who perform a number of control / operational functions over a variety of taxes generated by trading activities across multiple divisions including Equity and Derivatives Trading. The team are responsible for 20 Vendor staff (eClerx) who provide support to the processing teams in Glasgow. 

Primary Responsibilities

Glasgow ITU seeks a candidate for a full-time Director role within the Quality Assurance (QA) team. The primary responsibilities of the successful candidate will be to support and enhance the risk management framework across the Global International Tax Utility team, and the vendor teams that support them. This will involve:

- Leading the Global ITU risk agenda and co-ordinating the global team to ensure timely compliance with centralised Operations Risk programmes.
- Supporting and preparing the team for interaction with, and review by, multiple internal and external partners including Audit, Compliance and external consultants.
- In conjunction with the management team, develop and implement the strategic Quality Assurance programme within ITU, creating an independent monitoring and analysis function to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of processes, documentation and risk management across the Global team.
- Overseeing month-end sub-ledger account reconciliation to substantiate balances and identify remediation required.
- Responsibility for day to day management of the QA team.
