Position Overview

Job Title: SalesForce Junior Engineer (Analyst)

Location: London

Corporate Title: Analyst

The Client Connect Programme has been initiated to implement Salesforce for front office Sales, Coverage and Business Management users to enable them to efficiently and effectively know which clients they cover, initiate new client onboards, initiate regular client reviews and offboard clients as necessary with fully audit history.

You’ll be focusing on a project relating to the delivery of a Salesforce Communities portal to improve customer experience and cost/ value decisions across multiple business units. The Client Outreach portal provides a mechanism for our clients to accept new contractual documentation in line with changes to regulation and provide information and evidence in relation to Know Your Client requests.

Your key responsibilities

  • (Ideal but not essential) – User Interface Development expertise
  • Familiar with/aware of DevOps tools such as, Eclipse, Git, GitHub, BitBucket, Sonar, Jira, Jama, Confluence, Crucible, Jenkins and TeamCity
  • Ability to communicate ideas simply and effectively
  • Team player working well with other software developers, business analysts and testers

What you'll do

As a Principal Engineer, you’ll be driving development software and tools to accomplish project and departmental objectives by converting functional and non-functional requirements into suitable designs. You’ll play a leading role in planning, developing and deploying high performance robust and resilient systems for the bank, and will develop your leadership skills as you manage the technical delivery of one or more software engineering teams.

You’ll also be:

  • Designing and developing high performance and high availability applications, using proven frameworks and technologies
  • Making sure that the bank’s systems follow excellent architectural and engineering principles, and are fit for purpose
  • Monitoring the technical progress against plans while safeguarding functionality, scalability and performance, and providing progress updates to stakeholders
  • Designing and developing reusable libraries and APIs for use across the bank
  • Writing unit and integration tests within automated test environments to ensure code quality

The skills you'll need

You’ll come with a background in software engineering, software or database design and architecture, as well as significant experience developing software within an SOA or microservices paradigm. 

Along with development experience in one or more programming languages, you’ll bring an excellent understanding of implementing programming best practice, especially around scalability, availability and performance. You'll need knowledge and experience of Java, including the deployment and delivery of Java services on AWS. In addition you'll need experience of configuring AWS infrastructure through automation tooling, as well as knowledge and experience of Agile methodologies and CI/CD.

You’ll also need:

  • Experience of leading software development teams, introducing and executing technical strategies
  • Knowledge of using industry recognised frameworks and development tooling
  • Experience of test-driven development and using automated test frameworks, mocking and stubbing and unit testing tools
  • A background in designing or implementing APIs
  • Experience of supporting, modifying and maintaining systems and code developed by teams other than your own

The Global Database Team is responsible for maintaining the databases, mainly in the Europe, the Middle East and Africa region but also for the globally located databases.

Your role of a Database Administrator (DBA) brings the responsibility of managing database systems.

Position Overview

Job Title: Oracle DBA

Location: London

Corporate Title: Vice President

The Global Database Team is responsible for maintaining the databases, mainly in the Europe, the Middle East and Africa region but also for the globally located databases.

You will be internationally positioned and you will pursue the style of proactive, transparent and responsible work.

Your role of a Database Administrator (DBA) brings the responsibility of managing database systems.

Your tasks as the DBA include data protection and security through the allocation of rights, data protection, monitoring performances and ensuring the availability of agreed database functionalities. The installation and upgrades of a database are also part of your role in the Deutsche Bank.

Your key responsibilities

  • You will be part of the Global Database Team which works as a Level 3 and Escalation Support
  • You will be involved in change management, as well as in incident management
  • Cooperation in various technical projects will be required from you
  • You will create and maintain Shell and Python scripts for databases and automation
  • You will be participating in weekend shifts which come in a rotating system

Your skills and experience

  • Significant experience as an Oracle DBA within the Information Technology support industry, experience in the financial industry would be beneficial
  • Considerable experience supporting Oracle Exadata Platform in a mid-size to large corporate environment
  • You have production support experience, equivalent qualification/ work experience
  • Organisational Change Management or equivalent proficiency
