Familiarity with Mobile Security standards (e.g. OWASP) and practices and are comfortable crafting the architecture of a complete client-side security model (including token-based authentication, PEN-testing, threat modelling)

Multidisciplinary working and the understanding that misalignment between engineering, product and commercial can lead to extensive waste and so have your own tool-kit to offer to mitigate these risks.

An appreciation that building internal products is challenging: your immediate users are your colleagues, but your end users are always your customers.

A knowledge that platforms often need organisational and cultural change to be delivered optimally, so you understand the need to engage and drive adoption and bring people with you.

A passion in technology in a technical way but you don’t necessarily need an engineering background for this role.

One of your key challenges will be to understand the implications that technology direction will have on the wider business from a Customer Satisfaction, Commercial and Compliance stand point. And are happy to influence accordingly, driving perfection through consensus.
