In this position you will lead the technical service function team, provide high level technical management function, provide guidance to the technical managers to ensure a gold standard service is delivered to customers

You will act as the technical escalation point for all matters around data centre environments and technologies

You will work closely with clients, account managers, technical teams and 3rd parties in order to co-ordinate rapid and effective response to major incidents.

You will be able to provide high level technical skills and all-round IT knowledge in areas such as networking, storage, virtualisation, applications, Microsoft etc.

IT Software Asset Manager needed for a fantastic organisation based in Basingstoke who are looking to employ an experienced IT Software Asset Manager with experience in taking control and managing software assets and experience processing internal audits from the bottom up.

Some of the main duties of the IT Software Asset Manager will include:

• Effectively control and manage all software assets
• Ability to produce Effective license positions across a wide range of vendors
• Working with the relevant teams to ensure that operational processes are maintained and reviewed regularly
• Working with resellers, leveraging their expertise in specific IT software
• Providing credible data for license usage & reporting
• Up to date with changing commercial landscapes and investigate impact to current licencing models
• Provide guidance for delivery of complex software requests and for changes that may affect software usage
• Being the focus for Software Asset Management including strategy, efficiency and service improvement
• Manage new software onboarding and accountable for reviewing and authorising software requests
• Experience of using SAM software (ideally Snow)
