We're supporting a software house based in the centre of Newcastle who are looking to bring in a Senior Product Manager to take responsibility for a suite of products they provide to a range of clients across the UK.

The Role



You will be responsible for driving the commercial direction and strategy roadmap for a number of their products. This is a hands on Product Manager role and you'll need to co-ordinate the work of other teams in order to deliver the product vision from initial requirements gathering, market research and competitor analysis through development, ensuring technical teams are clear on the new features or functions, managing timescales for release, involving sales and marketing to determine route to market and proposition.

This role will also working alongside other Senior Product Managers in order to develop the overall strategy for the full product portfolio

Candidates will need to have previous experience working as a Product Manager role in a software business. You should be comfortable working in a client facing role and able to lead internal teams through the process, interacting with product owners, developers, marketing and sales.

Requirements

· Hands on Experience and use of any industry recognised automated testing solution, particularly in the area of performance.
· Technically competent with Azure, web server / services, middleware technology, mobile technology Xamarin and APIs
· Solid exposure to database technologies
· Proven track record of leading teams & projects within a similar technical environment
· Strong Analytical skills, preferably developed as part of any performance engineering orientated background
· Experience of working with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
· Agile training/qualifications or experience incl. Scrum & Kanban

Responsibilities

· Own the overall test approach for end-to-end platform solutions and manage the execution of the testing. Including; Unit, Functional Acceptance, System Integration, Regression, User Acceptance, Operational Acceptance, Pre-Production, Performance and Volume test
· Define the correct and appropriate utilisation of testing tools for the platform and each project in the platform, including tools for test automation and test management
· Liaise with technical architects and technical leads for required technical support during the planning, execution and evaluation of the testing
· Understand the high level E2E business and technical requirements and intended implementation
· Work with different internal technical groups and vendors to ensure sufficient test coverage and quality
· Ensure best practice test planning and execution by suppliers. Assure the output thereof;

*Support the development and maintenance of security architecture building blocks and define security architecture reference models to help ensure efficient application and risk mitigation across Group and business divisions.
*Assist in the evaluation and selection of security technology and products as defined in the security technology roadmap, to help ensure that the selected tooling aligns with requirements.

*Collaborate with change management and project leaders to keep abreast of and continuously improve the project lifecycle methodology and security design governance requirements, to help ensure security requirements are embedded at the onset of a project.

Skills Required

*Bachelor's degree (preferred but not essential) or equivalent experience in computer science, IT engineering, or related field
*A master's degree or equivalent in Information / Cyber Security would be an advantage
*Information Security and /or Information Technology industry certification (CISSP-ISSAP, CISM, GIAC or equivalent) strongly preferred
*Member of Institute of Information Security Professionals (M.IISP) or have the qualification, skills and experience to become a member
*Industry-recognised architecture certification (SABSA, TOGAF or equivalent) is preferred
*Certifications from industry-leading vendors of network security solutions would be desirable but is not essential

Knowledge:
*Expertise in development of multi-tier and cross-platform security architecture plans
*Understanding of general security practices such as encryption, IAM, security information and event management etc. and supporting technologies
*In-depth understanding of network security technologies such as firewalls, IPS/IDS, web application firewalls, network access control etc.
*Understanding of cloud security architecture is preferred

Experience:
