Role: UX Designer

Location: Loughborough

Salary: Up to £27,000

I am looking for a talented UI Designer to create and shape unique, user-centric digital experiences. The ideal candidate, not only will have some experience working in agile teams, with developers, UX designers and copywriters. You will be able to make deliberate design decisions and to translate any given user-experience journey into a smooth and intuitive interaction.

Responsibility's

  • Ideate digital concepts for a wide range of di?erent projects and industries
  • Successfully balance the user's needs with our client goals
  • Create, improve and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user ?ows, and effectively communicate your interaction ideas using any of these methods
  • Translate low-?delity wireframes to beautiful designs
  • Present and defend your design decisions, all your design decisions should be based on the overall design roadmap as well as your own design thinking and fundamental principles (i.e. colour theory, visual weight, etc.)
  • Be a great team player, with the ability to collaborate closely with account managers, copywriters and developers
  • Continually keep yourself and the design team updated with the latest changes in industry's standards.

Requirements:

  • Background education in Communication Design, Digital Design, Graphic Design or another related ?eld; If not, work experience is also valuable
  • Strong visual portfolio
  • Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user ?ows, etc.
  • Experience using design and prototyping tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, Invision, Marvel or related
  • Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (ideally)
  • Creative ideas with problem solving mindset

You will ensure the environment is up and running, carrying out any data updates, cleansing, restores and performance monitoring. You will work with the team administering the VMware and SAN. Additional daily tasks include; on site server builds, PC/ Laptop builds, security updates and ad-hoc regional offer visits. Currently in the process of migrating to a .NET environment.

What you'll need to succeed
Must have a strong track record working in a 2nd line Support Technician role and be a confident user of SCCM and VMWare. Competent in building and updating PCs and laptops, as well as server builds and security updates. Having knowledge of SQL will enable you to hit the ground running, as will having experience of working in a Microsoft environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with users will is important.

What you'll get in return
A salary of £24,000-28,000 (D.O.E), 24 days annual leave per annum plus 8 bank holidays - which increase with long service. Ability to buy or sell up to 3 days. Optional Healthcare scheme, company pension contribution up to 7% and an annual bonus based on your basic salary. Working 37 hours a week Monday- Friday; flexible working policy available.
