Senior Cloud Security Engineer - FinTech - £95k

MarkJames is working with a leading financial services client, They are going through a period of rapid growth in the security team, having recently hired 3 extra heads they are now looking for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to help them embed security into their core systems.

The role will involve collaborative and close working with the DevOps function and broader engineering teams, you will be acting as an SME for security aspects of our public cloud infrastructure. This role will see you working with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Kafka and similar technologies in this space.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with DevOps to embed security practices and tooling into build processes, this
  • means working together in a hands-on capacity to reduce security risk
  • Continuously improving security controls within existing DevOps tooling and processes
  • Configuration of security tooling for visibility and control such as Twistlock, Dome9 and
  • Tenable.IO
  • Enabling us to move faster by providing solutions to common occurring security issues be that
  • through commercial, open source or in house written solutions
  • Working with the broader security function to detect and remediate misconfiguration within our
  • cloud environments
  • Design alongside our other Security Engineers, incident detection and response plans specific to
  • our cloud environments

You will have:

  • Strong hands on experience of AWS and its associated technologies
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD processes and technologies
  • Skills to script and automate solutions
  • Some knowledge of incident response within cloud
  • Cloud or Security certifications such as AWS Certified Security Speciality, AWS Certified DevOps
  • Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CCSP, CISSP etc.
  • 4+ years in a similar role

*Participate in the development of supply strategies and framework contracts.
*Provide detailed input for compilation of the business plan and production of the possessions plan.
*Control project change, risks and contingency within the project life cycle and provide all cost, contingency and programme details to enable the Sponsor to obtain authorisation for portfolios/projects.
*Provide a safe working environment in the execution of work directly under the post holder's responsibility, including development of project safety plans and other associated documentation.
