IT Service Desk Analyst - Basingstoke - Permanent

I currently have an exciting opportunity in Basingstoke for an experienced IT Helpdesk 1st Line Support Professional in Basingstoke.

This is an opportunity to work for a large global company in a 1st Line IT Support capacity supporting over 2000 users.

Your main role will involve supporting end users on computer and telephone operation ideally with a first-time fix. You will be dealing with internal customers over the phone, email, messaging and face to face when required.

Your role will involve:
- Attempting first line fix where possible
- Escalating issues when appropriate
- Identifying areas of improvement in the service desk function
- Be a pro-active team member
- Recording, logging and tracking all support requests

To be suitable for this role you will have:
- Experience in a 1st Line/ Helpdesk environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience supporting Microsoft applications - Office etc.
- ITIL experience would be beneficial

This role is based in Basingstoke.

This is a permanent position Monday - Friday 36.5 hours a week.

Salary for this position is DOE plus benefits including pension, life insurance, share-save scheme, private healthcare, cycle to work scheme, annual leave flexibility scheme and an employee assistance programme.

Some level of security clearance will be required for the successful applicant.

Role & Responsibilities:
You will be expected to lead the development and progression of customer environment improvements delivering continuous improvements to a wide range of clients, both overseeing improvements delivered by 3rd parties and implementing themselves. As a customer, facing role excellent presentation and communication skills are essential.
Essential Skills & Experience:
·Proven track record with designing and implementing system upgrades
