About the Role:

We are looking for ambitious individuals with an extensive background of PLCs and good knowledge of SCADA and HMI applications.  Full development life-cycle incorporating software design, implementation, testing and undertaking onsite commissioning is essential.  The ideal candidate will be exceptionally organised, determined and will thrive in an expanding development environment. They will have a willingness to work within a dynamic team to get the job done to a high standard.

   

Main Duties:

  • Follow company processes to deliver complex control systems to programme schedules within budget
  • Involvement in designing, modifying and testing of PLC/SCADA and HMI applications
  • Full hardware/software development across multiple industry sectors
  • Support creation of technical documents, project meetings and customer witness testing
  • To be aware of and comply with Company Standards of Conduct and all relevant statutory requirements
  • To carry out any other reasonable management request

 

 

Essential Job Specific Skills & Qualification:

  • Experienced with using PLC systems
  • Experienced with using SCADA/HMI applications
  • Experienced with using Serial Interfaces (Modbus, RS422 and RS232)
  • Capable of fault diagnosis within IT and PLC/SCADA System architectures
  • Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure
  • Highly organised and self-motivated
  • Able to use own initiative and work without supervision
  • Ability to travel with full driving license

 

 

 

 

Desirable:

  • Experience with developing .net applications
  • Knowledge of IEC61508/61511 Safety Guidelines
  • Good Presentation and communication skills
