What You'll be Doing Each Day:
IT Helpdesk Administrator is the first point of contact when employees in London and other offices within the Europe requires assistance in IT matters.
This could range from trouble-shooting IT issues to actively managing stocks of PCs, company mobiles, ipad devices.
They will also have to liaise with Tokyo HQ as and when is necessary.
- First line provision of hardware, software, network and telephony support to users throughout the region.
- Support of client connectivity and technical problem resolution.
- Installation, configuration and administration including connection to Microsoft Windows network domain.
- Assisting Department with Network, Server and IT Security issues.
- Liaison with service providers.
- Managing the appropriate consumables and spare parts.
- Recording expenses.
- Updating computer records.
- Processing registration of new users.
The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:
- Ability to communicate effectively with users in a huge number of different countries.
- Proven Helpdesk experience in medium/ large organisation
- Proven Experience of supporting and configuring Windows 10, 2008/2012 /2016 Servers.
- Understanding of Microsoft Exchange, Outlook and Microsoft Office365
- Excellent communication skills in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- Organisational skills – ability to effectively manage and prioritise workload
- Japanese language ability – basic reading and writing capability
- Excellent communicator who is flexible and enthusiastic.
- A person who works their own when needed but also able to work as part of a small team.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and to work under pressure.
- Actively challenge new things/technology.
- Since the department is relatively small - the coverage for the duties will be wide. Therefore, flexibility is also a must.
Job status: Full-time, Permanent
Start date: ASAP
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (lunch 12:30-13:30)
