The Company:

This is an excellent position to work for one of our leading growing construction clients that have an excellent reputation within the industry and has turnover in excess of £140million, priding themselves on successful project delivery whilst working closely with repeat clients on negotiated works.

They are recruiting for a Technical Administrator / Junior Document Controller, to develop and grow with the business.


General:

The following to be undertaken in unison with delivery team i.e. Commercial Manager/Contracts Manager/Design Manager etc.

· Manage, reduce and drive out unnecessary costs and inefficient activities.

· Duly record and manage all construction documentation efficiently for effective use by necessary parties.

· Ensure verbal and important discussions/agreements are recorded in writing (email).

Pre start:

· Set up appropriate Project Registers to log Construction Drawings, Schedules and Specifications as necessary.

· Comply with internal team Printing/Scanning requirements to aide in front end activities i.e. Site set up plans etc

On Site:

· Maintain incoming Registers appropriately for Drawings, Specifications, and Schedules etc.

· Distribute Drawings to Supply Chain to coincide with Commercial Managers Subcontract Orders.

· Duly issue any incoming revision information to appropriate recipients, logging as necessary.

· Comply with Design Managers requirements to issue any Approval drawings to appropriate recipients as and when requested.

· Scan, log and print documents upon internal team member's requests.

· Understand contract layout requirements of the Operation & Maintenance manuals and commence folder structure

· Commence initial chase of O&M information.

Completion:

· Obtain 'As Built' drawings from all necessary parties.

· Compile O&M H&S file ready for Practical Completion.

· Scan, log and print documents upon internal team member's requests i.e. Commercial Managers F/Acc compilation etc.

· Finalise all Registers for retention going forward.

People Management:

Work with Commercial Managers, Contracts Managers & Design Managers to encourage a team ethos.

SHEQ:

Awareness and compliance with all company SHEQ Standards.

Essential Experience:

· Typically some building sector experience.

· Sound understanding of construction administration processes.

Desired Experience:

  • Be responsible for the safe and profitable delivery of our service on site
  • Consistently meet all operational targets ensure contractual, financial and H&S targets met
