Due to continued growth, our Client is looking to employ a personable and motivated Service Desk Technician - 2nd Line, to join their in-house Service Desk team.

The role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing customer focused 2nd Line Service Desk support for hardware and software issues.
  • Prioritising incidents based on their business impact.
  • Assessing the complexity of incidents and following escalation processes where required.
  • Ensuring all calls are accurately logged into the Service Desk system.
  • Ensuring all calls and tickets are responded to within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Proactively identifying potential or future issues at client sites.
  • Proactively sharing technical knowledge and client-specific know-how with the team.

It is essential that you have in-depth knowledge of and experience with the following from a support perspective:

  • Windows Server Management
  • Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Exchange/Office 365
  • TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP
  • Server Virtualisation
  • Networking and Routing

Desirable knowledge and experience:

  • Citrix - XenApp and/or XenDesktop
  • IP Telephony
  • Attention to detail
  • A proactive, logical approach to problem solving coupled with common sense
  • Good communication, literacy and organisational skills

A full, clean driving licence is required to meet the requirements of this role as it may involve some work onsite for clients.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

As a Radar Solution Architect, you will be working in a robust and major business area within one of our most heavily invested sites to date. You'll work closely with the Chief Engineer to create a saleable, durable and effective product that will eventually be handed to our clients. Due to predicted growth, we need subject matter experts to come along asap. Your industry experience should relate to systems design, production, critical information management, performance management (for customers) and a deep understanding of systems context to influence the production process. This includes integration, verification test, acceptance and certification for both hardware and software aspects of communications systems.

You'll be a forward thinking, talented team player who can bring ideas to the table. We would love to work with you to develop your own niche team that will allow future projects to take place.

As the Communications Solution Architect, you'll also be working with potential communications suppliers to understand benefits and growth opportunities that their products have to offer. You'll see the impact of the communications systems on overall systems performance, reviewing and challenging the suppliers on their product to ensure you are left with the best outcome.

This role requires a high calibre, proven individual with specific skills within design, integration and technical architecture. You'll operate at the core of our expanding team to train and develop junior staff. Our client a supplier of niche professional services, and as result of on going growth need to increase capacity within their Technical Support Team. The candidate will provide support services to both customers internal organisation across a range of technologies. The role would suit an individual with solid experience in a support capacity who is eager to expand their technical knowledge with a progressive and dynamic company. This is a 3rd line role.

Technically, you will be comfortable supporting: -
