This technical sales and applications role comes to market from a global business and leading manufacturer of test and measurement solutions for use in the Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Power Generation industries. Their constant research and innovation means that they have been able to stay at the forefront of the market and gives you the chance to join amidst a number of new product releases.
Joining as Sales and Applications Specialist for the UK your role will be responsible for the sales, marketing, support and promotion of advanced NDT product and service solutions. Working closely with the inhouse and field-based teams you will technically support product demonstrations, provide customer training and work to strengthen key account relationships across a number of industry sectors.
Full Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and execute a business development strategy for key accounts in partnership with the national sales manager
- Leading the sales process for complex products and service applications, this will include customer consultations, product demonstrations, specifying solutions, quote generation, negotiation and closing orders
- Attending key exhibitions and industry events to market company NDT products
- Managing your sales opportunity pipeline in line with your agreed targets and KPI’s
- Create tailored product/application solutions that meet customer application requirements, support new product introductions and compose/deliver structured training to customers for complex products/solutions
Sound interesting? To carry out this key position they are seeking an educated NDT engineer ideally PCN certified with strong commercial acumen. A UK driving license is essential and ideally you will be based in the South East or East Midlands region.
Whether you are a proven sales professional already or currently in a technical role related to Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and keen to move into sales they would be open to your application.
Key skills and experience sought include:
- Strong Non-Destructive Testing experience, ideally PCN certified
- Good commercial acumen, confident communicating and presenting technical information
- Understanding of key industrial markets such as aerospace, power generation, oil & gas
- A strong desire to succeed, good problem-solving ability and the ability to reassess an approach under challenging conditions
Experience within technical sales into the Aerospace, Automotive, Power generation or Oil & Gas sectors would be ideal but is not essential.
Please note this role may involve product demonstrations and more challenging customer applications in remote and less accessible areas, often involving outdoor activities. You will need to be able to stand for prolonged periods of time and may be required to carry equipment over longer distances at times.
