Operations Analyst - Glasgow - 12 Month FTC - Competitive Salary

I am currently looking to speak to experienced Investment Operations Professionals about a fixed-term contract in Glasgow City Centre. What does the day to day look like? 

This team is responsible for dealing with Service Level Agreements and data quality control. You will be expected to manage key stakeholders including IFA's and Fund Managers, ensuring that a positive relationship is maintained. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Ensure tasks are completed to a high standard and SLA's are kept within relevant timescales 
• Assist with asset pricing and set up where possible 
• Maintain accurate Client data and update this on a regular basis
• Build key relationships with stakeholders and ensure that any of their queries are dealt with within relevant timescales

What are we looking for? 

We need someone with a minimum of 1 year's experience in an investment operations environment, who can successfully build and manage key client relationships and manage queries in a timely and accurate manner. 

• Exposure to Bonds, Equities, or Unit Trust Funds in a previous role
• Good Microsoft Office and Excel skills
• First-class communication skills both oral and written
• Degree educated in a relevant subject or industry-relevant qualifications such as IOC - also desirable

* Previous experience in a DevOps Engineer position within a large organisation
* Experience with Agile methodologies & having worked within multi-team, multi-site scaled agile environment (SCRUM, TDD)
* Experience in Linux system administration / Management, preferably RHEL
* Strong experience of Ansible automation platform and Terraform
* Excellent knowledge working with Continuous Integration / Automated Deployment; Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef etc
* Managing and deploying on Cloud based platforms (AWS)
* Experience with Release and Configuration Management process

The role

  • Monitor the internal ticketing systems at customer's sites, completing basic support requests where appropriate
  • Create user accounts, manage permissions and passwords
  • Provide telephone and email support to customers
  • Support the in-house IT team with basic requests (ie. Changing printer toner, replacing cables, setting up projectors, moving computers etc.)
  • Maintain our high standards particularly regarding customer communications and response times
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current operating systems and standard software packages, including both Microsoft Windows and Mac OSX

The Person

  • A full UK driving licence is required for this role and access to a vehicle is preferable

  • Develop and deliver all project data requirements for small to large- scale brand change solutions on behalf of the project team.
  • To pro-actively manage the product life cycle i.e. creating, developing and amending product codes.
  • Report on the project budget spend on behalf of the project team.
  • Update data systems to record obsolete products.
  • Manage shared inbox requests for product data and site data requests on a rotational basis.
  • Generate new data codes for any new products.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have the following background and skills:

  • Strong experience of data management
  • Able to manipulate, high volume complex data and provide reports
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Able to complete tasks and achieve deadlines
  • Strong communication, written and verbal
