A third-sector organisation is looking for a UX Designer to join their Digital Team. The organisational changes within the company has seen a fresh approach to the company's strategy which has resulted in the Digital Team being expanded. It really is an exciting time to become a part of the team!

In a previous role, you will have worked on the design of multiple projects and constantly thrived to improve the UX within these projects. You should have experience of analysing research data and providing creative solutions based on this. Experience of usability testing, journey mapping and flow diagrams will also be key within this role. ARE YOU A PROJECT MANAGER WITH IT SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE? 

Ellis Mason are recruiting for a  PROJECT MANAGER | IT SOFTWARE  on a fixed term contract to join a well-established business in Hitchin. The contract is to cover a maternity leave and is expected to be for 12 -15 months. We are looking for someone to join them right now so that a generous handover of 3 months can take place with the current Project Manager. 

Although there are no guarantees, the company are growing and there is a possibility that there could be a permanent opportunity to stay on at the end of the contract, if it suits both parties. 

As the  PROJECT MANAGER | IT SOFTWARE , you will be responsible for the delivery of client implementations on projects ranging usually from 3 months to 12 months. 

The company are open to considering people from slightly differing backgrounds to their own but you will need to be technically minded to be able to operate in this industry. They will also consider people at a slightly more junior stage if they still fulfil a large amount of the job spec in other areas. 

The company are not looking for anyone qualified, experience definitely takes precedence over any qualifications (such as Prince2, Agile, etc). The role will involve using hybrid methodologies from all areas to be able to perform the role.

THE JOB

  • Planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting on software implementations.

  • Working within ISO27001 standards and adhering to the relevant working processes. 
  • Producing and circulating plans that provide information on current projects and their progress.
  • Identifying any risks and issues that could occur. 
  • Being aware of where everyone in the team is at, so that you can forsee any future issues that may arise. 
  • Trigger the invoice creation process by informing the accounts department when invoices should be raised in line with contractual agreements. 
  • Constantly sharing knowledge and advise to the Project team on project management methodologies, best practice, software and tools.
  • Desirable but not essential - experience of leading and working in development sprint cycles and a commercial understanding of project costings and contractual obligations.

Service Desk Analyst - Helpdesk (Contract)

Contract lasting up to six months

Our purpose is simple, to save lives at sea. Across the UK and Ireland, the RNLI is recognised for our lifesaving work, from rescue and supervision to education and prevention. An essential part of making this happen is to make sure our IT equipment and systems support all of our activities, and that the RNLI IT team is able to support all of our users, volunteers and supporters. The RNLI primarily uses Microsoft software, and we are currently rolling out new technologies across business systems and investing in upgrading our core capabilities.

We are looking for an experienced Service Desk Analyst to work within our End User Computing team. The Service Desk provides first and second line support for desktop services (O365 suite, Windows 10, Office 2010/2016, SCCM, Apple products, printers, tablets and telephony, including mobiles). The team works from 07:45 to 18:00, and you will be expected to cover varying shifts within these times.

This role will be assisting our Face to Face Fundraising team with the launch of their new Samsung tablets. This will include managing the set-up, configuration and deployment of devices and working with our Service Desk team to provide ongoing support to staff and volunteers across our IT estate.

It is expected that you will have knowledge and experience of ITIL processes. You will be familiar with delivering to SLAs and managing your workload accordingly. You will be an experienced user of an ITSM (ticketing) tool to manage user incidents and service requests. It would be advantageous to have experience or knowledge of IT security practices, and GDPR requirements.

We have a strong focus on customer service and working together as one team to help and support our crew out on the coast.
