The relevant Test Analyst will have solid experience as a Software / Systems Test Analyst, with strong experience of manual, functional and non-functional testing within an Agile and/or Waterfall environment.

A few details about the role
As a project focused Release Test Analyst, you will be working in a diverse environment which will utilise, challenge and enhance your full existing skill set. Some of your responsibilities in this position will include:

  • Providing functional and non-functional test analysis to validate various phases on concurrent projects, within a web-based test environment
  • Write, develop and execute Test Plans and Test Scripts
  • Project manage own projects, and work closely with the Business Analysts, Project Managers and offshore Software Developers
  • Utilise technical ability in order to read and translate XML messages, as well as write basic SQL queries
  • Work to tight deadlines on 6-week release projects, as well as longer term projects
  • Collaborate with other Test Analysts within the team on major projects

What you will need to be the successful Test Analyst
Unfortunately, being interested in this position isn't enough. You will also need as many of the following as possible:

  • Clear, logical thinking and the creative ability to solve problems
  • A good communicator with the ability to fit well into a friendly and engaging team and company
  • 2+ years commercial experience within an IT focused Test Analyst position
  • Ability to write and executive test scripts and test plans, and manage on your work / projects
  • Experience of Agile and / or Waterfall software development environments (iterative development)
  • Ideally a basic knowledge of XML, SQL and HTML (not essential)
  • Any experience of DBS / Digital Business Solutions may be of an advantage (not essential)
  • Strong initiative and 'can do attitude'

They are growing exponentially and are looking for an EMEA Field Services Engineer to join their team at their head-office in Borehamwood offering a fantastic and exciting opportunity for the right candidate.

The Role:

Plan and coordinate activities concerned with installing equipment, investigating and resolving customer reports of technical problems with equipment, and eliminating future operational or service difficulties by performing the following duties:

  • Install new or modified equipment at customer's facility to ensure full functionality.
  • Perform maintenance, service, upgrade and repair of existing instruments.
  • Respond to customer support enquiries received via helpdesk.
  • Analyze inspection findings, to determine the source of the problem, and perform repair, replacement, or other corrective actions
  • Liaise with Supply chain team/Production departments to progress requests of stock.
  • Maintain records of performance reports.
  • Maintain CRM customer database of contacts, organizations, instruments and contracts.
  • Analyze reports of technical problems to determine trends affecting future design, production, service, and maintenance processes, and recommend modifications to eliminate future problems
  • Develop and conduct training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrate skills to trainees, including both team members and customers
  • Handle customer problems that appear to arise from the misuse of the product
  • Plan and schedule levels of support work according to product release schedules

The ideal candidate will be someone who:

  • Is a post high school graduate with first professional degree in engineering branches such as chemical, mechanical or electrical with 3 to 5 years of experience as a Service Engineer.
  • Is very skilled in Electronics, Informatics and Mechanics with basic chemistry knowledge.
  • Has experience of diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
  • Holds a Full driving license.
