Do you remember your first successful IT Project?

It must have been a proud moment when you put the finishing touches to it, safe in the knowledge that you’d delivered what was required and on time.

You’re well on your way to becoming an expert SQL developer as you already have excellent working knowledge of SQL Server (2012,2016,2017) and T-SQL. Your previous experience in ETL (SSIS) procedures and reporting (SSRS/Power BI) means you’ll be well equipped to deal with complex tasks and requests.

The icing on the cake would be if your knowledge extends to MS Azure, DBA and C# and APIs. Got a relevant IT degree? Even better.

So, what does the day to day look like?

Well, you’ll be interpreting project briefs and providing solutions in a timely fashion, and as the title suggests you’ll be processing data through SQL and reporting systems.

You’ll be looking to continuously improve existing software solutions and processes. Furthermore, you’ll be documenting your work and sharing this with the rest of the dev team.

Testing software and new deployments will be a regular occurrence to ensure any changes and fixes meet the highest possible standards. You’ll also help maintain the performance of the data warehouse and aid in the delivery of quality, sustainable code.

Okay, so what do you get for all this?

You’ll get a salary of up to £32,000, which you may end up spending a chunk on the companies’ products thanks to their hefty staff discount. That’s Christmas sorted.

Everyone needs a bit of time off. You’ll start with 25 days holiday, but with each year you’ll get an extra day up until 33 days.
