Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Technical Excellence
  • Install, implement, monitor and maintain specific applications in keeping with current SLAs through effective processes, KPI's and problem management.
  • Liaise with other teams to ensure service availability as required.
  • Liaise with Senior Users regarding system access and system availability.
  • Ensure that all users are supported in their day to day activities with advice and resolutions to problems and issues.
  • Be responsible for diagnosing and resolving any problems, escalating to team members of other teams and vendors when required.
  • Provide support to project delivery and undertake changes to systems in accordance with defined IS Change and Configuration Management.
  • Ensure that IS change requests are completed and processed in timely manner to enable service improvement.
  • Build relationships with other teams to enable better support and communications.
  • Maintain technical skills to allow AWE to benefit from new and emerging technologies in order to make supportive decisions.
  • Attend technical briefing / support groups.
  • Undertake other duties as reasonably required from time to time by line and task management

Key daily tasks involve

  • Writing well designed, testable, efficient code by using best of breed software development practices.
  • Developing functions for data validation and pushing into / pulling from databases / unstructured data stores.
  • Implementing worker / task runner components, working through a central task orchestration system, to interface with other internal solution components (video fingerprint identification, watermark extraction etc.) and external services (email sending etc.).

What you need
