About the role: Programme Manager

Based in Birmingham with some remote working, you will report into the Programme Director and will manage a team of Project Managers delivering projects as part of Capita's overall portfolio of change projects on the Transport for London account.

The programme manager is responsible for leading and managing the setting-up of the programme through to delivery of the new capabilities, realisation of benefits and programme closure.

The applicant will need to possess a strong work ethic, strong problem-solving skills, a can-do attitude and flexible approach, ability to work with individuals at all levels in the organisation along with a knowledge and experience of service management, project management, stake-holder management; supplier management; risk, security and compliance within a complex IT environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Produce and manage a task level cutover plans with resources and validate through dress rehearsal and supplier / business stakeholder engagement. Plans must detail all activities to be completed, with timings and a named / agreed owner.
  • Develop and agree hyper care plans including exit criteria, issue severity levels and stakeholder management / communication channels.
  • Work closely with all suppliers and internal IT to ensure that the integrity of the live environment is protected
  • Define and execute detailed activity plans, maintaining an ability to articulate progress and status clearly to key stakeholders.


What we're looking for:

  • 5+ Years as a Programme Management/Project Manager/Service Management experience in a complex IT Environment
  • Prince or ITIL qualified
  • Keen knowledge of various project management applications, such as Microsoft Project is also required.
  • Service Management experience (Incident / Problem / Change)
