Your role
Using cutting edge technology you’ll work alongside colleagues, often in multi-disciplinary teams, helping to solve our clients’ most significant challenges. In particular, as a Transaction Monitoring Specialist you will work on a wide range of Financial Crime projects, helping our clients to use analytics and technology to meet their obligations under national and international regulations.
Leading a small project team you will help to find solutions for clients on projects typically driven by compliance and risk problems, mainly in the financial crime and regulatory fields. You will work directly with our clients to understand the challenges they face and design, propose and deliver solutions that address them.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Scoping the delivery of projects, working closely with clients and other project stakeholders to understand their requirements;
  • Leading the delivery of analytical work leading a team/(s) of colleagues;
  • Providing subject matter expertise (SME) to our Financial Crime team including in the area of Transaction Monitoring solutions;
  • Managing the quality and accuracy of your team’s work and addressing risks as they arise;
  • Evaluating new technologies to expand the scope of the team’s work and improve its efficiency;
  • Contributing to the overall business management and leadership of the forensic analytics team;
  • Contributing to the firm’s talent agenda, managing and working effectively in diverse teams and helping to foster an inclusive culture where people are recognised for their contribution;

Your professional experience
Essential:

  • Experience of a market leading Transaction Monitoring (TM) or Transaction Surveillance (Market Abuse) rules engine (e.g. Actimize, Norcom, Mantas, BAe Detica, SAS, Quantexa etc.), including the testing, tuning and statistical optimization of the solution using a formal structured methodology;
  • Use of data analytics tools and techniques (e.g. SQL, Oracle or SAS BI) and ETL software (e.g. SSIS, Informatica or CloverETL) to address Financial Crime problems;
  • Transaction Monitoring and Financial Crime domain expertise and/or technical knowledge acquired from a Compliance, Business or IT perspective;
  • Scripting or programming (e.g. R, Java, Python or C#);
  • Ability to work with and lead project teams, helping to motivate team members;
  • Supporting the development of colleagues through mentoring and knowledge sharing;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that you can adapt to technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Contribution to or development of proposals and propositions for internal or external clients.
Preferred:
  • Relevant postgraduate or professional qualifications (including compliance experience as a practitioner and/or Financial Crime compliance qualifications (e.g. ICA or ACAMS or equivalent);
  • Experience of working on projects for external clients;
  • Experience of working in or working on projects in regulated industries, particularly financial services.

Your role
There is a new opportunity for a manager to join and help develop our ET&P practice, specifically focusing on Financial Planning and Analytics (FP&A) and MI, based on best in class EPM solutions like Oracle Hyperion Planning, SAP Business Planning and Consolidation, Anaplan, etc. This represents a unique opportunity to develop your career in consulting within an established Big 4 consulting firm. You will have the chance to develop your expertise in EPM as well as in the delivery and implementation of large scale technology solutions as you work on a range of projects in cross-functional teams.

The candidate will be expected to consult with all levels of a client's business and be comfortable in front of the finance business and IT, and from the analysts to the CIO and CFO, and be involved in the full life cycle of an EPM project starting with the initial design of the performance framework through to the implementation of the supporting technology.

As a Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting Manager, your role will involve:
  • Advising on good practice and processes in FP&A in order to improve their visibility, accuracy and timeliness during the planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Demonstrating a deep knowledge of client decision-making and support processes and key client business drivers.
  • Designing and configuring EPM applications such as SAP BPC, Oracle, Anaplan or Cognos in order to deliver a solution that best accommodates the client’s requirements as stated.
  • Advising on the solution options available to accommodate the client’s requirements and the advantages and disadvantages relating to those options.
  • Problem solving to identify and action appropriate remedies for technical errors associated with FCCS or EPM applications and related components.
  • Understanding industry context.
  • Supporting client requirements gathering/analysis workshops.
  • Taking responsibility for planning, scoping, managing and creating deliverables as part of a larger project team.
  • Managing larger teams on projects to deliver tasks, including providing guidance and feedback to junior team members.
  • Establishing effective working relationships with peer-level clients as part of project delivery roles.
  • Understanding industry context.
  • Taking part in client discovery, requirement gathering and analysis workshops.

Your professional experience
To be successful in this role you are required to have:

  • Good working knowledge of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Relevant experience working in a financial discipline within management consulting OR relevant experience working in industry in financial / commercial roles.
  • Hands on experience including business requirements analysis, scoping, design and configuration with planning, budgeting & forecasting tools such as SAP BPC, SAP IBP, Anaplan, or Oracle Hyperion on at least two full implementation lifecycles.
  • Hands on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud for planning or BPC 11 embedded, or BPC Optimised for S/4 HANA.
  • Ability to translate technical information to non-technical individuals is essential, as well as the ability to present this to a range of audiences in a clear, concise and appropriate manner.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Consistently high quality personal and professional standards.
  • Advanced MS Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel and stay away from home up to five days a week.
Additional desirable experience includes:
  • Knowledge on sales and operations planning processes.
  • Qualified/part qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA.
  • Technical certification on any of the technologies mentioned above.

Your professional experience
To be successful in this role you are required to have:

  • Good working knowledge of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Relevant experience working in a financial discipline within management consulting OR relevant experience working in industry in financial / commercial roles.

Our vibrant, award-winning Cloud Integration and API Strategy team is looking for integration architects, developers and evangelists across all experience levels, industries, and sectors, to join us in solving our clients’ most complex problems, initiating and accelerating their Digital and Cloud technology journeys.

Our community of integration practitioners sits within the Deloitte UK Consulting practice, which is set to become a £1bn business by 2020. Our Cloud Integration and API Strategy team is integral in achieving this ambition through business development and the delivery of exceptional client work. Our team are responsible for assisting our global clients in answering their most challenging problems: how can integration enable and accelerate business and IT transformation; how to structure your organisation for success; how to deliver effectively and at scale; how do we select and design the best technology to enable business growth; how do we architect the integration platform and services to enable a complex, global business?

You would be working as part of market-leading team which has been awarded Global Partner of the Year by MuleSoft (2015, 2016, 2017, 2019), Dell Boomi (2018) and Google Cloud Platform (2018, 2019).

Your role
Your role will be to advise on and deliver solutions to our clients’ integration challenges, as well as to support internal and external business development.

Your responsibilities will include the following:
  • Helping our clients navigate the end to end journey for integration, including:
    • Defining and delivering an Integration Strategy and Operating Model that aligns to and underpins business, technology and/or digital strategies
    • Developing the Business Case for investment in integration
    • Selecting the right products and services for a solution
    • Standing up the team
    • Architecting and delivering the platform
  • Understanding the leading integration technologies and the key integration challenges being faced by our clients
  • Providing an authoritative point of view on how integration influences and enables emerging technology trends, for example recent perspectives include points of view on Next Generation Telco, Cloud, the Internet of Things, Connected Cars, and the Future of Retail
  • Growing our relationship, experience, practice and maintaining our position as market leaders with key integration vendors such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Apigee, AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform
  • Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

Location:
Your home office will be Belfast, but this client-facing role provides lots of opportunity for travel in the UK and overseas.

Work pattern:
This is a permanent full time role, however our team members work a variety of agile working patterns.

Your professional experience
  • Between three to eight years working within IT
  • Worked in integration-related roles either acting as a team member or leading teams
  • Proven technical problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical subjects effectively to a business audience
  • Hands-on experience of using one or more leading integration products
  • Knowledge of key integration challenges, patterns, market drivers and trends
  • Understanding of emerging and innovative integration technologies (for example iPaaS, REST APIs) and how to shape IT strategy and delivery in order to leverage those technologies
  • Keen interest in technology and how this can be applied to solve business challenges
  • Ability to travel to client locations (Note: We will sponsor your visa to work in the UK and occasional client travels aboard)
