Software Test Analyst

Are you a self-motivated Software Test Analyst who has a strong willingness to learn and achieve new skills? Interested in working with a renowned and award winning business?

We are looking for a Software Test Analyst to be working with our established client. The Software Test Analyst would be a part of the vibrant QA Team and testing new product developments, designing, building and maintaining automated tests.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Software Test Analyst would be designing, building and maintaining automated tests
  • Responsible to Identify / logging bugs and faults appropriately
  • Retesting and verifying fixed issues
  • Designing, writing and maintaining test cases / regression scripts
  • Design test cases, create test scripts, supporting data and working to the specifications provided
  • Interpret / execute and records test cases in accordance with project test plans
  • Analyses and reports test activities and results
  • Identifies and reports issues and risks associated with the work
  • Review requirements / specifications and define test conditions
  • Design test cases and test scripts under own direction, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting outcomes
  • To ensure that incidents and requests are handled according to agreed procedures
  • To ensure that documentation of the supported components are available and in an appropriate form for those providing support
  • Create and maintain test documentation

Required Skills:

  • 1-2 years’ experience working as a Software Test Analyst
  • A strong understanding of common programming languages such as SQL,XML and HTML
  • Experience running automated tests
  • Experience in writing manual and automated tests
  • Demonstrable knowledge of identifying and appropriately raising bug / fault tickets
  • Demonstrable experience in retesting and verifying fixed issues.
  • Experience working with testing web services / API’s
  • Understanding of Jira by Atlassian
  • ISTQB Foundation Level certification is advantageous
  • Excellent time management
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to build strong working relationships with all staff at all levels

The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise of working with PowerShell, Microsoft Server, Hyper-V, Office 365, Azure AD, Microsoft Endpoint Management, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Remote Desktop, Intune.

The post provides second-line computer support and assistance for students, staff and Fellows of the College. It also includes the extra responsibilities of system administration, including, but not limited to, deployment of workstations, management of data backups and management of public computer rooms, the provisioning of user training documentation and delivery of training. The role is sometimes required to deal with highly sensitive and/or confidential data in the execution of these duties, so being able to approach these with professionalism and maintain absolute confidentiality is key.

Some familiarity with MacOS X, Linux, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and Microsoft SQL Server would be an advantage, as would be previous experience working within another College or similar.
