We are on the lookout for a multi-skilled web developer with PHP to join a first-class digital marketing agency in Bristol.

The experience we need.

The perfect PHP Developer will need to be a real team player and also have:

- At least a year of commercial experience as a web developer.
- Front end development skills such as CSS3, HTML5 and email development are desirable.
- Highly skilled in PHP principals.
- Experience of building web frameworks in MVC.
- Worked with CMS – including configuration, theming, deployment and plugin development.
- Be knowledgeable in UX, user journeys and wireframes.
- A genuine passion for what you do with the drive to evolve and develop your skills in line with new technologies and approaches.
- An ability to work on multiple projects at once – ideally experience of this in an agency setting.

Candidates should have at least 2-4 years relevant experience and knowledge in 1st and 2nd line Support .

This role will be part of a small team responsible for providing Desktop Support and basic Windows Server administration for approximately 200 internal users, at offices based in London .

You will be working across a broad range of technologies and liaising across multiple areas of the business to support incidents, problems and requests. Responsible for answering IT requests via phone, email, or in person and explaining solutions in technical and nontechnical terms.

The network environment consists of Windows 10 based workstations and Microsoft Windows 2012 Servers.

  • Workstation support either desk-side, via telephone or using remote access tools;
  • Hardware support for PCs, laptops and printers;
  • User support and email set up for Mobile Devices, such as iPhone’s, iPads & Laptops
  • Set up and support of remote access home workers via Citrix /RSA 2FA;
  • Maintenance of hardware & software inventories;
  • Maintenance of internal IT procedures and protocol;
  • Assist with maintaining telecoms infrastructure;
  • General duties as may be required within the department.
  • Basic server housekeeping Windows Server 2012 Exchange 2010 (new user creation, system monitoring, backups etc);

  • work as part of a 6 person team who have strong technical expertise and provide exceptional levels of customer service

You must have:

  • previous applications support experience
  • strong software skills
  • SQL skills in order to query databases to resolve issues
  • good understanding of Microsoft Windows
  • a willingness to communicate with technical and non technical users to analyse and resolve problems
  • ability to liase with software development team and infrastructure team after analysing the problem
  • an analytical approach, and passion for solving problems for business users
  • any experience of workforce management software (WFM), Time and Attendance (T&A), Payroll solutions is a plus but not essential
  • any experience of working within or serving users in the Facilities Management sector is a plus but not essential
