  • Knowledge of Middleware platforms

For those who are coping with a bereavement, we know this is one of the most difficult, emotional and complex times they will face.  The role of Bereavement Operations is to support customers from the moment Barclays are notified of a death through to the closure of accounts.

What will you be doing?

  • To lead our business implementation team within our Bereavements Centre of Excellence; in particular focusing upon:
  • Ensuring the development of high quality operational/business requirements
  • Supporting our transformation programme through user testing, prototyping and ensuing we implement impactful change without impacting our service delivery
  •  Acting as a ‘bridge’ between our operational colleagues and our transformation programme to bring together ideas and delivery
  • Delivering pre implementation activity such as changes to procedure guides and colleague training

What we’re looking for:

  • Comprehensive experience in risk, control and governance environments and the ideal candidate will have a strong track record in risk and control with experience of implementing risk and control techniques e.g. risk identification and quantification, risk assessment and mitigation
  • Experience of working and leading within a formal change framework such as Prince2, or Agile/Scum
  • Extensive experience in managing a varied and demanding workload and being able to prioritise workloads to meet agreed timescales
  • Experience of leading colleagues within an operational change and/or highly focused customer environment

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Experience of working within a regulatory and control environment

The Chief Operating office for Risk, Finance and Treasury supports the effective and cost-efficient execution of Risk, Finance and Treasury functions through the provision of world class technology, change, data and information. As a Project Manager, you’ll be managing medium – large complex Technology Change and Application projects to plan, budget and agreed quality.


What will you be doing?


Delivering projects to plan, budget, agreed quality and governance standards
Delivering of projects supporting the business strategy from business case through to initiation, requirement analysis, design, build, testing, implementation and closure
Management of project teams (direct or indirect) engaged throughout the full delivery lifecycle
Support the lead in executing portfolio governance and controls
Translating gaps between current state architecture and strategy into a project plan/roadmap
Ensuring that stakeholder mapping & stakeholder plan is comprehensive and considers internal and external stakeholders

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Engineer to play a key role in the realisation of an ambitious digital strategy.

Working within the Platform team you will help maintain the Museum’s web infrastructure (Apache, Tomcat, Nginx, IIS, HAProxy, Azure Verizon CDN, API Gateway) and provide operational support for bespoke in-house developed applications serving a variety of public, internal and scientific audiences. The team also manages a diverse set of platforms and applications across commercial and business systems, including Adobe AEM CMS, MS Dynamics CRM, Magento e-shop, Media Asset Management System and the Sharepoint Intranet.

The main focus of this post is to work proactively on modernising the Museum’s web infrastructure. Working closely with the Platform Manager and front and back end developers you will assist with deployments and deployment pipelines, increasing automation and looking for opportunities to improve performance, processes and application management.
