The Digital Technology team is partnering with our business to aggressively expand our digital offerings over both Web and Mobile by designing, building and rolling out world-class digital solutions. The Digital Technology team in Glasgow is specifically seeking a senior Delivery Lead to join us on this journey. As a Delivery lead, you will be responsible for program managing the delivery of key projects that are owned and driven within EMEA, but delivering for the business globally. You will be part of a dynamic team that will work closely with product owners co-located in the same location, as well as interact globally with business stakeholders, product owners and other application developers at all levels of the organization. As a Delivery lead, the role requires you to have experience managing medium to large scale technical programs, working with business and technical partners distributed globally. A must-have ability is to break down complex business goals and requirements into specifications and a prioritized plan for technology to execute. Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Managing scope, timelines and prioritization of projects and backlog, working closely with business stakeholders and product owners.
  • Help business and product owners define Epics and stories which can then be prioritized and turned over to technology development teams.
  • Ensuring all requirements are elaborated to the appropriate level of detail and items that are in or out of scope are negotiated with relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute with technical business analysis to enrich the requirements produced by business and product owners.
  • Managing and planning deliveries with dependencies and other technology teams.
  • Ensuring timely communication of status and blockers for a project at different levels of stakeholders
  • Overseeing and coordinating UAT with all teams and stakeholders
  • Face off to and manage business and technology stakeholders across the organization, including front-office business, product owners, other technology teams and technology/business management.
  • Follow and promote Agile practices like Scrum and TDD/BDD

  • Track record of managing medium to large scale technology projects

  • Experience with JIRA to manage project backlog and prioritization

  • Good understanding in writing detailed requirements that are both business-friendly as well as relevant for technology development teams to convert into design and implementation.

  • Knowledge of BDD to help write requirements that facilitate automated testing.

  • Experience with Agile project management with exposure to Scrum methodology

  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture

One of the key programs in 2020 within this initiative is Cyber & Technology Controls Get to Moderate. Get to Moderate Program represents a prioritized set of twelve initiatives and associated deliverables within the broader book of work identified as essential to bring cybersecurity to within risk appetite on a sustainable basis.


 


The Business Analysis/Program execution lead will join the Markets Technology team to drive the Get to Moderate commitments in 2020. This is a high-visibility role with direct interaction and partnership with various senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will be part of a cross markets team driving key strategic programs/projects across markets technology portfolio and develop all people, process, and technology components required to support a critical programs.


 


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Define, monitor, and report key managements metrics to meet the 2020 commitments

  • Manage a high-volume and high-complexity reporting & analytics book of work, leveraging rigorous project management discipline

  • Partner with senior leaders in advancing the business analysis and reporting agenda, focused on insights delivery in areas around operational efficiency, cost modeling, capacity planning, quality enhancements, etc.

  • Define, design, and drive high priority strategic initiatives with senior level visibility in areas above – ranging from delivering business initiatives to engineering enabling capabilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of systems and processes in order to extract insights from existing data while identifying and recommending IT enhancements to improve data quality

  • Develop strong partnerships with IT application owners and data management teams, Risk & Controls to align on a roadmap for continual improvement while providing support around in-flight projects.

Qualifications:


  • BS/MS degree with emphasis in MIS, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting or other quantitative/business discipline

  • 5+ years of total experience within Business Analysis, MIS, program execution and/or Management Consulting roles with a focus on Financial Services; experience supporting Capital Markets preferred  Cyber & Technology Controls, audit, operational risk experience is preferred

  • Ability to serve as a strategic business consultant with proven ability to manage high profile data insights and reporting initiatives with senior leadership visibility: vision to strategy to execution, leveraging robust project management discipline to deliver complex initiatives

  • Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and ability influence senior stakeholders across Business and Technology

The group (located across London, New York, Houston, Buenos Aires and Mumbai) is responsible for the production, orchestration, capture and feeding of Risk and PNL data to various aggregators across the CIB for T+1 analysis by the Commodities, Currencies and Emerging Markets business performing a critical control function in today’s highly regulated environment. In addition to this the group is responsible for the build out of the reporting and core business functionality in the Risk Central platform, the target state aggregation and reporting platform for Risk and PNL across the Corporate Investment Bank.

Using technologies like Python, Scala, Hadoop, Kafka and Spark, part of the teams remit is building a resilient high-capacity platform supporting the firm’s business and regulatory agenda. On a typical day, billions of rows of data are fed to the system from both end of day batches and real-time calculators. A modern application stack is being developed to serve the needs of heterogeneous clients across the Investment Bank and Risk & Finance.

The role requires full-stack development and strong software fundamentals with the ideal candidate involved in all aspects of the Risk Central build out. This includes writing internal and external APIs, writing code that persists and aggregates data, and building services and other tools that are critical in enterprise grade mission critical system.

 

The successful candidate will be able to handle the full pipeline of the system, from sourcing data from the front office systems, building and enhancing data publishers, persisting and managing the landed data through to reporting results to downstream clients. In order to accomplish this, the developer will have familiarity of all technologies used in the project and have a basic understanding of all involved workflows.

Required skills:

Ability to think analytically and quickly pick up new technical concepts.

Expertise with functional or object orientated languages.

Expertise in Python is a plus.

Fluent English is required.

Strong hold in Data Structures and Algorithm

God experience in Django framework.

Hands on experience using numpy and pandas

Strong experience in building microservices and web API

Proficient in Apache Spark/PySpark.

Thorough understanding of version control system concepts

The Asset Manager Platform organization within the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB)’s Securities Services group is a newly formed business offering best-in-class digital solutions for our institutional client base across financial products and investment lifecycles. The Opportunity

As a developer in the Risk as a Service team the successful applicant will join a leading entrepreneurial and collegial team within the Asset Manager Platform business that is responsible for the development of innovative pricing, risk and trade management tools across all asset classes and financial instruments.

You will:

·         Work on some of the most complex problems imaginable at the intersection of two dynamic industries: finance and technology

·         Be part of a new business initiative within JPM that will create a significant revenue stream for the firm and influence the commercialization and go-to-market strategy of the service

·         Partner closely with our clients (asset managers, hedge funds, investment advisors, investment banks) to understand their needs in order to shape the product roadmap

·         Interact with other high-performing teams within JPM to inspire innovation and champion change throughout the bank

·         Work closely with our User eXperience and product development colleagues to deliver high quality software and amazing user experiences

 

Responsibilities

 

The candidate will partner with our Product Managers, UX, Sales, Trading, Quantitative Research, Strategy and Clients in delivering the product. Responsibilities include the following:

 

·         Model, design, develop, code, test, debug, document functional and non-functional product capabilities and client service related features

·         Ensure quality of the resultant product by enhancing scalability, supportability and test coverage

 

Candidate Capabilities

 

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: 

·         Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience 

·         Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

·         Intellectual passion for digital transformation/innovation and application of technology in the financial services industry

·         Dedication to team effort – “whatever it takes” multi-tasking and perseverance with cross-functional partners

·         Passion for user-centric design and creating amazing user experiences

·         Quick learner with strong attention to detail

·         Experience with modern software engineering practices: code review, test-driven development, continuous integration, agile methodologies

·         Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals 

·         Proficiency in Python or another object oriented programming language with track record of delivering industrial quality systems

·         In-depth knowledge in at least one of the following:

o   Complex financial systems

o   Databases

o   Distributed systems

o   Cloud computing

o   Python

o   Web applications
