BI Data Analyst

Our highly respected and well renowned client is looking for a Data Analyst, with Business Intelligence skills to join their te4am based in Nottingham on a permanent basis. The BI Data Analyst will develop analytical solutions to support all areas of the business and will have good, sound knowledge of T-SQL and the different objects (creating tables, stored procedures, views etc) in order to maintain our client’s existing data warehouse and report databases

BI Data Analyst – Key Skills:

  • Understanding of data warehouses concepts and schemas
  • Experience of Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or similar. Power BI would be preferable.
  • Experience of creating dashboards

  • R or Python - Desirable

Are you a skilled Business Analyst with a passion for technology and desire learn new skills whilst continuing to utilize your own? FPSG are assisting a long term client who are looking to add a Technical Business Analyst to their existing IT Team.

This role will allow the successful individual to own projects from the initial understanding of the business needs through to implementation and maintenance. You will own the product and have a desire and ability to learn new skills, including development on products such as Salesforce or NetSuite.

Role Responsibilities

  • To enhance, maintain and make decisions on buy or build (design; develop; deliver and maintain) high quality solutions or services and proactively share knowledge for specific technical solutions and business processes.

  • Manage the selection, design and delivery of solutions; agree key stakeholders; development partners; and lead team members through the full project lifecycle.

  • Development and maintenance of existing technology stack to ensure that solutions remain fit for purpose.

  • Quality and Governance of solutions.

  • Preparation of documentation to enable handover and ongoing maintenance of solutions.

Skills and experience required to be successful in the role of Technical Business Analyst:

  • Problem solving

  • Previous software development; integration; scripting experience

  • Planning and estimating workstreams

  • Testing methodologies

  • Use of appropriate analysis tools

  • Deadline and cost management whilst delivery quality solutions

  • Ability to research and take on new ideas and tools

Netsuite and/or Salesforce scripting

The successful candidate will work within a team of 8 testers and ideally have 4+ years’ experience. The role will require you to be responsible for supporting the test strategy of a new platform the client is looking to launch. You will work with the Test Lead to collect business requirements and ensure the platform is of the highest quality before launching into production.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Test Lead to determine testing strategy and direction for new platform
  • Collate business requirements
  • Create and execute detailed, well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Cross-browser testing using Browser Stack
  • End-to-end across both the SDLC and STLC
