Job Title: KDB Analytics Lead

You will join the Electronic Equities business which provides clients Cash Equities execution on 100+ markets in 30+ countries worldwide. We provide full spectrum of execution capabilities: Sponsored and Direct Market Access, Smart Order Routing, and Algorithmic execution. Technology is a key factor to success of this business, hence we focus on a small number of technologies and platforms, each dedicated and optimised for particular function to archive best results.
You will join the business, which made a choice to use KDB as a market data TickerPlant and transactional database for analytics. You will work on the applications which are developed and supported by compact flat technology team, working in close cooperation with Quants and Sales Traders. You will work on a rapidly growing KDB project, standing on critical path for many of business activities: historical algo benchmarking, generation of alpha signals, real-time alerts, latency measurement, backtesting and many others.

Your key responsibilities
- Be responsible for Electronic Equities Analytics platform globally
- Manage a team of 20+ engineers worldwide
- Work in partnership with Quants and Front Office in all regions as a strong and vocal technology ambassador for Analytics platform
- Manage agile Software Development Lifecycles for large platform deployed globally
- Balance agility and stability to satisfy quant research requirements keeping core platform stable and robust
Your skills and experience
- Solid KDB development experience (including Advanced understanding of KDB architecture and design best practices)
- Financial Market Data experience
- Leading global technology teams
- Understanding of financial services advantageous
- Thorough understanding of fundamental software engineering and computer science principles including object-oriented design, structured design, databases, algorithms, data structures, usability, refactoring, debugging, and configuration management
