C++ Software Engineer / Backend Developer (C++11 Real-time Optimisation). Are you a senior C++ Software Engineer who wants to remain hands-on, working on complex and technically challenging systems? As a C++ Software Engineer will design, develop and test a front to back trading infrastructure for global frameworks for algorithmic trading including real-time market data, exchange connectivity, feed handlers and parsers. You'll be working across the full development lifecycle, liaising with quant researchers and technology peers to ensure global consistency and maximising the reuse of software components.

You'll be joining a hugely talented team with counterparts in Singapore and Montreal and will learn and develop your technology skills and business knowledge; opportunities to move into Technical Leadership if desired.

Requirements:

*Expertise with C++ development on Linux
*Strong experience with code optimisation and high performing applications within a financial services environment e.g. real-time market data, exchange connectivity, feed handlers, parsers
*Thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as Design Patterns, Data Structures, memory management, low level system design, TCP/IP
*Good knowledge of Distributed System design
*Collaborative with excellent communication skills, happy to be integrated into a global team
*Nice to have: Python, CMake

My client in Brussels Belgium are seeking a techno-functional consultant with hands on Oracle E-Business warehouse management experience for a minimum 6 month contract role. The ideal candidate will have hands on system configuration and implementation experience with good understanding of receiving, put-away, cycle count, picking, shipping, SQL and PL/SQL. The key responsibilities of the contract are listed below:

Collecting, analysing and describing what the system has to do (functional system requirements) and defining the system scope for the project.

* As Solution Architect, take the lead in requirement analysis, solution design, solution mapping and configuration and providing the solution architecture

* Collecting, analysing and describing the qualities and restrictions of the system: the non-functional requirements.

* Responsible to acquire necessary knowledge and support project development and implementation from a functional perspective

* Support technical team in developing technical solution for the functional requirements and validate the technical solution.

This is a contract position to start ASAP based in Brussels with a requirement to be on site Monday-Friday. 475euro day rate with a minimum 6 month contract commitment (very likely extended to end of year).

This role sits in a small, talented team focused on a major, high-profile customer. The team develops and integrates software solutions for demanding wireless mesh network solutions. The role involves working closely with the customer, chipset vendor and other OEM's and is a technically challenging role with heavy integration and troubleshooting work in a multi-vendor environment.

We need candidates skilled in developing software in C in embedded Linux environments, with an understand of networking. If you've delivered software into large Service Provider environments, all the better, and any specific experience of Wireless - especially WiFi - would be a definite benefit.

You'll also need excellent communication and teamworking skills, as the role involves close and frequent interaction with technical teams from the end customer.
