The Role

We are looking for a Front end Developer who is well-motivated in a range of web technologies and tools.

  • Good understanding of how APIs work and the languages behind them, such as XML, JSON or GraphQL. Experience in the creation of applications that use third or first-party APIs would be a plus.
  • Good understanding of the use of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, including SASS and LESS.
  • An understanding of a range of third-party front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap, Semantic UI, Foundation and others.
  • Previous experience with PHP and CMS systems that run on it, such as WordPress.
  • Ability to learn new web technologies with a passion to expand your skills further as technologies develop in the future.
  • Basic experience with an image editing program, such as Gimp. Photoshop experience is not required, however, it would be a plus.
  • A basic understanding of SEO strategies and how to implement them would also be a plus.

Orion Group Sciences have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Analyst for our Multinational Medical Devices client based in the Berkshire area on an initial 12-month contract.


Job Purpose
The Finance Technology Solutions Group within FS&T is focused on Envisioning and delivering the finance technology to support the enterprise ambitions. The EMEA systems teams is part of this team and focused on delivery in the EMEA region.

The responsibility of the EMEA FS&T Systems team is to provide support for the planning and reporting technologies used by the teams in the FP&A CoE and the wider EMEA community. Maintaining data quality and controlling and developing the planning models are key objectives. Upskilling end users and support during planning cycles is a key objective for this team.

This position will be a financial business analyst with strong technical skills being able to implement technical solutions, provide systems support to both regional as well as local finance users and work in close contact with the global GFS team and technical teams.


Main Responsibilities of the role
* Provide Level 0 support to regional and local finance users
* Escalate support requests to global service desks where necessary
* Implement, test and document systems enhancements deployed by the global FP&A team
* Support TM1 planning system
* Ensure data integrity between regional source systems and global FP&A systems
* Process documentation
* Champion the BSCoE Deployment from a system perspective and help improve end user experience
* This role is a key member of the BS CoE Systems Team working closely with the BS CoE Commercial Team, end users across the EMEA region as well as the Global GFS team. The role needs an individual that has strong analytical skills, enjoys working with systems and supporting people. In addition a permanent drive for improvement and efficiency is critical.

  • Qualified Accountant ACCA/CIMA/ACA or an equivalent education with a strong proven experience.
