IT Project Manager

Client Site & Homebased | Up to £55,000

Our client is an ever-growing technical service provider, who aid enterprise organisations go through infrastructure and cloud transformations. They are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee and manage different size projects across a wide array of Microsoft and other vendor technologies. You will guide and nurture customers through an end to end project life cycle taking them through their infrastructure and cloud maturity. 

Role

You will be responsible for the "end to end" delivery of technical and business change across the following areas, including:

  • All project communications, RAID management, project change control, project budget tracking, and resource management.

  • Engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders guiding them through the project life cycle.

  • Provide project delivery management for Projects and Support Transition.

  • Manage third parties to achieve project objectives and deliverables.

  • Ensuring project governance is adhered to and escalating none conformance.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable track record in the Project delivery including infrastructure, cloud, EUC, and business / technical change projects as a Project Manager

  • Experience of the full project life-cycle from stakeholder management through project cycles, implementation, transition and go live

  • A track record working with project management methodology, and tools including certification in Prince2.

Awareness of technology required

  • Windows Infrastructure 

  • Office 365 / Exchange

  • Microsoft Azure Cloud (public, private and hybrid)Virtualisation, storage, backup and replication

  • Networking technologies (switching/routing/security)

3rd Line Support Engineer – Manchester (Altrincham) - £30k - £40k

A Microsoft focused 3rd Line Support Engineer with experience working in the Consultancy and MSP (Managed Services) space is needed to join a growing Managed Service Provider in their South Manchester offices.
This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing Managed Service Provider who have double in size over the past 12months and have major expansion plans over 2020. Anyone joining the business over the coming months will have the opportunity to develop and progress their career in the business quickly into Project work and within Professional Services.
 
The Role:
  • You will form part of the tier 3 team as the highest point of escalation dealing with complex support issues for external clients.
  • You will work in a very fast paced environment forming part of a highly skilled team of engineers who are passionate about what they do and all have a strong customer service focus.

  • You must have excellent customer service skills and be experienced at speaking with various external businesses
  • You should have a can do attitude and not be afraid to take on any new challenge
  • You will be passionate about technology, striving to progress your career and always wanting to learn the newest techs.

You could become part of the world's largest telecommunications service provider, supporting a number of high profile clients from a number of state-of-the-art data centre facilities. The role itself will be based at the companies newest Data Centre in Hemel Hempstead.

The Position

We are looking for an M&E Engineer to plan, manage and implement the delivery of FM services to the Data Centre ensuring operational performance is maintained at all times to the highest possible standards. This role is on a large and highly technical site and will require someone with strong understanding of switching but also who is physically fit and able to be on the move for the vast majority of your shift.

  • Setting up testing stations for operators.
  • Calibration and Validation of customer test equipment.
  • Ensuring documentation is kept in order
  • Diagnosing and repairing and faulty RMAs with some customer contact.
  • Using continuous improvements techniques, reduce wastes, promote sound working practices and improve operator skills.

Requirements:

  • You will have a background in electronics manufacturing.
  • Knowledge and experience of digital and analogue electronics.
  • Able to read circuit diagrams and diagnose faults down to component level.
  • Ability to solder and rework "Surface Mount" and "Through Hole" components.
  • A good understanding of mechanical and electronic assembly practices.
  • Fault reporting and continuous improvement techniques.
  • A good understanding of standard business software.
  • A professional approach and a sound understanding of business expectations.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to strict policies and procedures.
