This role requires someone who has Application Support experience of ERP, accounting, or similar types of application software, and understands Progress 4GL / Progress OpenEdge and can happily do Progress development and database work at 2nd and 3rd Line and provide analytic and break fix support. Salary to £42k.

The job is to work for a long standing, successful ERP software solutions company near Stourbridge and Dudley, in a 3rd Line Support position. You have great trouble shooting skills, a passion for problem solving and like to dig deep to find solutions, leaving no stone unturned.

So the 1st and 2nd Line support teams screen the calls and when they cannot fix the issue it comes through to the 3rd line. This involves the most difficult problems and requires a solid understanding of ERP software functionality (or similar business application software), Progress 4GL development and database work, break / fixes, and the ability to talk to the clients to figure out what the real issue is.

You will make enhancements and modifications to the ERP software, and test and debug problems and solutions. • You will be able to deal with all other teams (support and development) for back up and information
  • It is a lynchpin role

To find out more, contact Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg at Ambis Resourcing.
