The Role:

Data Scientist

A Data Scientist is required for a hugely successful business based in Aberdeen. The company are a global outfit who work alongside some of the biggest names in the industry on a daily basis.

This role is an initial 6 month fixed term contract for a professional who is looking to get their foot in the door in a multi-national business and gain vital industry experience. You will be reporting directly to the Data Solutions & Delivery manager as this is a vital position for the business.

Working at the heart of the IT department, you will be seen as the go to person regarding data related and technical projects. The main aspect of the role is in relation to building products and solutions regarding quality control, data pipelines and data modelling, however you will also be providing significant inputs across the entire spectrum including data mining, dashboard development and applying machine learning algorithms.

As this is an initial 6 month fixed term position, they are willing to consider Junior Data Scientists looking for their first break in the industry. You will be working alongside all levels of management across the business and externally therefore excellent communication skills are a must and the ability to work not only as a team but independently is essential.

Key Skills and Experience:

** Experience with Python, R, Java programming languages is essential

Technical Services Manager

Responsible for:

Implementation and support of Infrastructure Technology in a multi-site, enterprise level, healthcare organization. Additional responsibilities of technical services ensuring the smooth running of both the Client and Server estate.

Job Purpose:

This position is highly technical and is part of the IT Technical Services team. The role is responsible for maintaining the entire CCH Server and Networking estate at all times keeping resilience, disaster recovery and capacity planning as a primary focus. The candidate must have experience of Servers and networks, and working in stressful and demanding environments and be accustomed to delivering stable IT infrastructure to core business needs in large environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • On-going proactive maintenance of Server and Network systems
  • Research and development of new ideas and technologies to improve the infrastructure
  • Specification and implementation of technical solutions and infrastructure technologies to meet business requirements
  • Management and maintenance of group-wide backup and recovery systems
  • Management and maintenance of Antivirus and security systems
