Role Responsibilities for Senior Research Analyst

  • Use multiple sources of data to create original analysis and conclusions on the state of petroleum markets and the shipping industry.
  • Analysing energy markets including the maintenance and development of models projecting supply/demand balances and pricing. Create/Update/Maintain presentations for prospective investors.
  • Prepare reports for the Global Projects department.
  • Compile monthly/quarterly vessel earning reports. * Evaluate prospective pool vessels.
  • Handling fleet PnL results.
  • Assist in relationship maintenance by interacting with Investors/Ship-owners/Ship brokers.
  • Create investment opportunity proposals.
  • Follow Public Traded Shipping Companies and analyse earnings.
  • Compile competitive benchmark

Individual Attributes for Senior Research Analyst

  • Minimum of 5 years experience within the petroleum markets gained either within a national oil company, trading house or consultancy.
  • A numerically-focused degree would be preferred.
  • Attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to interact directly with external stakeholders and pool partners in a professional manner are must haves.
  • Ability to handle sharp deadlines and entrepreneurial spirit a strong plus.
  • Experience with advanced data analysis and modelling.

IT / Data Support Technician (Engineering / Manufacturing)

Our client is a leading manufacturing business with a strong history within its market sectors. Having recently renewed its IT infrastructure and with a strong commitment to develop and expand its use of technology – the business has identified an immediate need to bring in a junior IT person to support the current Head of IT. 

You will be responsible for delivering in house IT support and forward thinking data analysis solutions to further expand the use and delivery of technology within the environment. You will be personable and a clear communicator with the ability to quickly and effectively understand, analyse and deliver IT support across the companies infrastructure. You will equally be conversant with data analysis techniques and the translation of requests into workable solutions from the companies MRP solution. 

This role would ideally support someone experienced in a traditional engineering / manufacturing environment that is looking to broaden their experience in a challenging and changing environment. The role will span across all areas of IT – and we need someone that is looking to work outside of their comfort zone, embrace new technologies and not sit purely in their comfort zone providing desktop support. Experience in delivering solutions with the use of SQL and delivering dashboard reports from data extraction is a key addition to this current requirement. The Role

Working within the customer experience and knowledge management department this contract will involve medical device related technical writing including plans, schedules and IVD specific documentation in various electronic formats.

Responsibilities:

    • Update legacy Help systems to comply with In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation (IVDR) requirements.
    • Independently research and write technical content for a global audience.
    • Follow content development, editorial, localization, and regulatory processes.
    • Collaborate as a member of cross-functional project teams by attending meetings, interacting with subject matter experts, and establishing and maintaining good working relationships with all Waters employees.
    • Work effectively with remote teams in the US and Romania.
    • Work effectively with virtual machines (remote software access) and systems.
    • Adapt to new authoring tools and processes.
    • Participate in and coordinate multi-writer projects.
    • Identify and escalate potential project risks.
    • Represent the Customer Experience and Knowledge Management department at project meetings.


Experience

Ideal candidates will be experienced Technical Authors ideally with experience in producing documentation for medical devices or similar scientific / medical type products.

  • Provide 1st line IT support to end users and liaise with other support teams across the Bunzl businesses to help ensure BCHD can operate effectively and efficiently
  • Provide Technical 1st Line Desktop, Telecoms and Supported Services

  • Carry out inductions of users onto the systems and provide a conduit for additional IT training requirements
