Our Client is an established supplier of Fruit products to the UK retailers, and they currently offer the role of Pest Monitor / Agronomy Support Technician, to begin a fixed-term contract, from March 2020 running until the end of October 2020.

This Pest Monitor position will report to the Trials Manager, monitoring & sampling a range of insect pests, taking responsibility for trap placement, identification, and reporting the results to a high standard. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have some working experience of software development, or full stack development - it is not essential to have experience in a similar industry but this would be advantageous.

The key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Write and testing code, refining and rewriting if necessary and communicate with clients and other engineers to ensure specifications are met.
  • Working on a pre-developed IoT data analysis system and in-house, remote support systems.

  • Ability to use the following languages: Asp.NET, HTML/CSS, Javascript, JQuery, SQL and VB.NET. Experience in the use of Microsoft Azure would also be required but no need to be certified.
  • Strong organisational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A Full UK Driving Licence would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Based in a commutable distance of Bishop's Stortford.
