You'll join a recently formed highly skilled agile development team in London, responsible for the design and build out of a new globally distributed platform in a modern technology stack (React and Redux, .NET Core, Azure Service Fabric) for a high-profile FS client. RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will be an expert in Web development and will be responsible for building highly responsive UI components using React and Redux for the platform, with a longer-term aim of cross training our existing developers in these technologies

REQUIREMENTS

• Expertise in building Front End Single Page Applications with React and Redux
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript (ES5 spec and up). Eg: JS primitives vs objects, scopes in JS, understanding of closures, function binding etc
• General knowledge of common challenges in Front End development (eg: browser behaviour and limitations, Front End application optimisations, etc)
• Significant experience and knowledge of React
• Good knowledge and handling of common React patterns (HOC, render props, Provider pattern, Container/Presentational components etc.)
• Knowledge of common React principles (immutability, pure functions, functional/class components, pure components, change detection etc)
• Advocate of general engineering best practices (eg: domain driven code architecture, encapsulation, separation of concerns, single responsibility, clean code practices etc)
• Knowledge of common design patterns (eg: Pub/Sub, module pattern, dependency injection etc)
• Experience and good knowledge of common React libraries (Redux, react Router, etc.)
• Awareness of common Front End styling paradigms (eg: CSS modules, CSS in JS)

Reporting to the Senior Graphic Designer in Ipswich, you'll be an experienced and proven creative graphic designer who's driven, organised and confident. You'll take responsibility for high quality design and for the development of both printed and digital marketing materials. These include direct mail, emails, sales support collateral, web pages, and digital assets to name a few. You'll also have the chance to get involved in filming and photography.

You'll be planning, managing and executing design projects with support from your Creative colleagues, including the Senior Graphic Designer. Working to internal briefs and in collaboration with the Marketing team, you'll manage the design work-stream, providing regular progress updates.

The role requires proactivity, the ability to follow brand guidelines and to produce work that maintains a high level of design quality, accuracy and consistency. You'll need a high level of proficiency in the Adobe Design Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and an understanding of web technologies including HTML5 and CSS. Previous experience in the energy sector would be highly beneficial.
