The Role
" Responsible for monitoring incoming tickets raised for Infrastructure support
" 3rd line support for Active Directory and Messaging Systems (on premise and online).

" Form part of the on call roster to support the business needs outside of office hours. This consists of dealing with escalations as well as major incident management

" Troubleshoot major issues and provide root cause analysis.

The Role will include, but is not exclusively, the following:
Design and create fit for purpose and cost-effective fibre optic networks to include topology layout, fibre splice plans, cable duct and routing
Plan civils activities
Work with the delivery team to ensure that all new networks are designed and implemented to the required standards
Produce construction and cabling work packages
Create bill of materials for each of the network build work packages
Work with the delivery team to revise plans as required
Forecast CAPEX and OPEX requirements of designed infrastructure projects
Analyse and provide feedback on opportunities
To take a lead in driving consistency, quality, suitability and cost-effectiveness with every design and build
Ensure that all works comply with guidelines and relevant codes of practice
Work closely with relevant stakeholders, internal, external, local authorities to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the infrastructure and react to any change
The successful person will have the following -
Ability to understand and produce detailed industry-standard level of survey, installation and as-built documentation
Detailed understanding of all aspects of civils route planning and fibre planning

Understanding of chamber and duct construction
Cabling splicing design
Understanding of FTTP and FTTC methodologies and design
Understanding of Radio and Wireless methodologies
Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a team without line management responsibility
Knowledge of NRSWA, CDM, Code Powers and SafeDig
Experience of achieving critical deadlines
Experience of supporting tender bids
Ability to identify engineering risks and associated solutions
Experience in planning an Openreach infrastructure
