This opportunity will see you join our clients world-class Technical Customer Support Team. You will be fully trained in our clients market leading software, whilst also receiving training and mentoring in the surronding technologies the EMEA Technical Customer Support team work with.

Their Support enthusiasts help customers across the EMEA region and are responsible for solving tricky technical cases and making sure their customers are getting the best out of their software. This role will see you take on new challenges on a daily basis, whilst having no glass ceiling on learning and taking on new technologies.

Every customers environment is different, which presents itself with new challenges and opportunities to gain knowledge and experience. This position will give you multiple career paths to explore and flourish!

What you've got...

  • You are a born troubleshooter! You love to take on new technical challenges and thrive on fixing problems you may never have seen before!
  • A basic understanding of computers and have some experience in fixing basic issues.
  • A basic understanding of the Windows operating system and what it is used for. Any experience working with Linux or Mac would be beneficial, but not essential.
  • You have a desire to learn. We are looking for someone who isn't afraid to take on new challenges and has a passion for gaining knowledge and experience.
  • Excellent prioritisation skills.
  • You want to help customers. You will work with other technical customers and geek out to help solve their technical problems and find the best resolutions.

Junior Desktop Support Engineer. To £20,000

This leading national financial services consultants have an excellent market reputation, have won numerous industry awards and are experiencing a period of prolonged and rapid growth. As a result of this they are looking for a candidate with a passion for technology keen to grow into a 2nd Line Desktop Engineer in the next 18 months-2 years

Group IT provides IT services to all their offices located across the UK and Ireland. This role will be located in the Reading office, reporting to the IT Operations Manager. The role will be working alongside other experienced 2nd line engineers.

An IT qualification, A+/MCTS/MCP, GVNQ, Diploma, National Diploma, HND or degree in IT is essential. Office 365 administration and Active Directory experience combined with knowledge of networking a computer/laptop is also required.

Knowledge around IT security (identifying spam emails, phishing, poor security practice from end users like not sending un-encrypted personal data)

Duties :

Working on tickets passed over from the Service Desk.

ESP Global Services are currently recruiting an Workshop Technician to join our team based at our Reading Head office. We are a managed service provider for IT support and infrastructure solutions where we support clients, worldwide, 24/7. Working as part of the Spares, Repairs and Logistics team you will carry out imagining, configuration, fault diagnosis, repair, refurbishment and maintenance on a range of IT equipment.

We are looking for people who are passionate about technology and increasing their existing knowledge, whilst delivering exceptional customer service.

A snapshot of what you will be doing:

* Imaging of PC's, Laptops, Tablets and Smart Phones in line with the agreed customer service level agreement.
* Control Hardware Asset Management tickets ensuring service level agreements are achieved and completed to the specified processes and standards.
* Ensure all tickets and updates are accurately updated within required software, databases and spreadsheets as requested.
* Identify any devices under Warranty and log and oversee warranty repair.
* Assist the Goods in & Out Coordinator with deliveries and shipments as required including accurately recording all delivery notes onto company system.
* Assist SRL team with monthly stock repair cycle, including picking and packing stock and assisting in the quality checking returned repaired stock.
* Comply with all Health and Safety rulings in place at ESP
* Comply with any security rulings and report anything sinister to the SLW Manager
* Undertake any other SRL activities as directed by the department Manager

What are we looking for?

* Self-starter with a "hands-on and flexible approach"
* Previous experience of working "hands on" within IT
* Enthusiastic approach and ability to use initiative
* GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English

This role will be working Monday - Friday 9am-5:30pm
