As an apprentice, you will be able to use your previous customer service skills and IT passion to kick-start a career where you act as first support, assisting with all IT related inquiries. You will be able to manage your workload, efficiently assisting with requests and incidents on the phone and through the ticketing system.
Working alongside the expanding team of technology analysts, you will support the team with setting up new devices, resolving all general IT and software queries and assist with IT stock management.
You will be a valued member of the team where you will have access to a variety of training courses to propel your career to the next level, including completing your Business Admin Level 2 Qualifications. You must have an infectious Customer Service attitude, and be willing to learn at a fast pace.
Role - IT Administrator (Apprentice)
Location - Borehamwood, Hertfordshire
Salary - £16,000 pro rota
Hours - 37.5, Full-Time
Your Responsibilities:
- Deal with inbound IT queries from colleagues and liaise with Line Manager and external providers when appropriate.
- Set-up new mobile phones, tablets, iPads within the Organisation
- Resolve general IT device and software issues within the organisation
- Set-up account for Staffs and Service Users within the organisation
- Assist with IT stock management for the business to ensure spares and parts are available in unforeseen circumstances
- Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
- Support the roll-out of new applications within the department
- And any other duties that the Line Manager / IT Director feels is appropriate
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Good communication skills to fit in with a multi-disciplinary team
- Good timekeeping
- Experience supporting Phones, tablets, iPads, PCs, Laptops, Printers etc.
- Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office/Libre Office skills (Word Processor, Spreadsheet)
- Practical abilities in undertaking day-to-day repairs and solving simple practical problems
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and colleagues of various ages
- Ability to prioritise a large number of tasks effectively and work as part of a team
- Professional approach towards duties and colleagues
- Very strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to learn at a fast pace
- Time management and multitasking ability
- Attention to details
Where you will be working
You will be working at Elysium Head Office in Borehamwood which is commutable from St Albans, London, Luton, and Watford. There are excellent railway transport links with a 25-minute train journey to London Kings Cross Station.
