Core responsibilities of the role include:

Development of robust project plans
Production and maintenance of required project documentation
Co-ordination and completion of projects on time, within budget and within scope
Preparation of overall business case including project spend and the benefits realisation plan
Management of stakeholder and wider project communications

Working within organisational project management methodology

Due to IChemE's international nature, this position requires a willingness to work flexibly and to engage in business discussions outside of normal working hours. This is a full-time role based on 37.5 hours per week working Monday through to Friday.

• Individual should possess strong inter-personal and influencing skills.  Active partnering with the Applications Development Manager, the Production support manager and the Business Product Manager is a key element to succeed
• Proven track record dealing with multi-team and complex project deployments in an ever changing environment.

• Ability to interact with senior business and technology managers
• Ability to work independently and drive multiple priorities
• Strong attention to detail, willingness to "roll up sleeves".

Job Purpose

Job Purpose

As Product Manager you'll be working on multiple internal and customer facing products, touching all areas of our business as part of a cross-disciplinary team.

Skills/ Experience Required

* Experience in a product or related role

* Practical knowledge of the product lifecycle and development techniques

* Experience leading integrations with 3rd parties would be a benefit

* Understanding of agile development practices (and their pros and cons!)

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Experience in car finance or the financial services sector would be beneficial

The key aspects of the role are:

* Take ownership of existing and new products and features.

* Analyse how people are using our products, using both quantitative and qualitative approaches.

* Help define our product strategy by gathering data and feedback from multiple sources (our customers, dealers, stakeholders, industry sources etc. etc.)

* Manage product backlogs and roadmaps in-line with the product strategy.

* Act as the voice of the user, champion user insight driven product development.

* Work closely with our technical teams to figure out what's possible.

* Produce user stories, map out user journeys and build wireframes for new features.

* Be on hand to answer any product queries that come up during development.

* Get involved with Quality Assurance and validating that product changes are implemented as expected.

* Implement and monitor metrics so that we can judge if a product change is successful.

* Actively monitor the broader market across technology and business to inform product direction.
