In this case, we are now looking for a Senior Animator to be based in Sheffield.

We need you to have:

  • A strong understanding of modern video game animation systems.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional animation principles and how they can be used to enhance gameplay 
  • Industry Experience: 5+ years AAA game’s experience.
  • Thorough understanding of animation fundamentals for human and non-human characters.
  • Understanding of Character creation process from concept, to modelling and final rigging.
  • Demonstrable experience in creating animation of a high standard while maintaining visual and functional specifications for game mechanics.
  • Excellent knowledge or at least one major 3d package (ie Maya or 3DSMax).
  • Basic knowledge of Maya and Max essential.
  • Good understanding of the game development process.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Game engine experience (UE4 among others).
  • Interest in playing games and current technical trends in the medium.
  • If you have worked on first person games as an animator would be beneficial but not essential.
  • If you have experience in using MoCap hardware and software although not essential
  • Experience in motion builder a plus

The Role

Duties will be varied and match the pace and needs of the programmes we deliver. They may include, but will not be limited to:

  • Execution of marketing plans, including email marketing campaigns
  • Managing the social media strategy, writing blog posts and setting up and providing logistical support for events
  • Building engaging presentations and generating content for marketing activities
  • Research and outreach to support the scouting process of start-ups
  • Administrative duties, such as minute taking, reviews of companies’ profiles
  • Generally providing support to the Head of Partnerships

The Power, Utilities & Infrastructure team provides large corporate, government and institutional clients with a full spectrum of solutions to their strategic advisory, financing and risk management needs. Upon joining the team you will be advising clients on Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Capital Raising, Structured Solutions or Risk management; and raising debt for companies, sovereign wealth funds and supranational entities.



What will you be doing?


• You will be undertaking company valuations, financial modelling, preparing materials for clients and conducting internal presentations
• Liaising with colleagues across the Bank, external clients and third party advisors
• Management of M&A processes for the bank along with mandates from clients



What we’re looking for:


• You will have previous experience in the Power, Utilities & Infrastructure sector
• Strong M&A skills, gained from either a product or sector team
• A track record of playing leading roles and holding key responsibilities in project executions
• Ability to perform financial modeling; pitch client/marketing materials; client and adviser communication and due diligence etc. across the team



Skills that will help you in the role:


• Previous experience in deal origination: helping generate ideas, writing presentations and leading client follow up
• Proven track-record (through previous hands-on experience) of outstanding financial modelling skills in Excel
• Ability to perform and supervise advanced financial analysis, strong corporate finance and accounting knowledge
• Sufficient knowledge of compliance, key applicable laws, rules and regulations

We’re looking for a hands on Research Manager to join our in-house Customer Research Team based in our vibrant London Canary Wharf office. You will have the opportunity to manage the design, collection and analysis of information using appropriate quantitative research techniques, and using findings from new and previous studies, to inform business decisions and to provide actionable recommendations, across. 


What will you be doing?

• You will be providing market research input to strategic decisions on customer, proposition, product and channel projects
• Providing consultancy, end-to-end project management, and interpretation of outputs
• Designing and managing ad hoc market research, providing internal expertise and driving the performance of third party market research agencies
• You will manage the delivery and analysis of information from customers to staff and opinion formers, employing appropriate research techniques, to inform business decisions
• Building a deeper understanding of consumer needs and buying motivations through research, using innovative and creative techniques where appropriate
• Analysing research results, working with vendors. Producing and delivering clear, actionable recommendations, linking through to customer needs and business implications
• Managing primary customer research projects, from developing a research brief, hypotheses, defining the sample requirements, survey design, testing and monitoring results 
• Managing the day-to-day relationship with research suppliers, ensuring Barclays receives the highest quality research service


What we’re looking for:

• Proven expertise in end to end Market Research, preferably agency side
• Solid understanding of research best practices in a financial services environment
• Track record of defining and effectively communicating clear insight into market trends and customer behaviour
• Proven ability to manage third party agencies

• Solid stakeholder management experience, with the ability to influence at senior levels

Within this role you will:

  • Work with the Art Director/Lead to set the art style and visual standard for the team through the creation of VFX assets and creation pipelines, across multiple titles
  • Create pre-visualisation concepts to establish the visual effects direction
  • Collaborate with level design and gameplay teams to create visual effects that support gameplay requirements
  • Research and analyse current and emerging visual effect trends and technology and collect reference materials that support the visual quality and style for the VFX team
  • Create clear and accurate technical documentation regarding VFX production and implementation procedures
  • Work closely with the Graphical Rendering team/Technical Art team to develop new/improve upon current technologies to improve visual effect quality
  • Handle all aspects of the VFX pipeline, which includes creating content from concept to final polished result

We need you to have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Real Time VFX for Video Games as a Lead or Senior VFX artist
  • Expert understanding of real-time VFX authoring tools
  • Experience with 3D packages for creating 3D assets
  • Strong knowledge of Photoshop and After Effects
  • Strong and demonstrable understanding of the Principles of Real Time VFX
  • Understanding of VFX impact on console performance
  • Highly passionate and self-motivated to create high quality VFX
  • Shipped at least 2 AAA title in a Senior/Lead role
  • Ability to communicate and mentor other VFX artists in the team
  • The ability to work with various styles of art on multiple projects
  • Demo reel required
