Liscensing Manager - Northamptonshire

 

This is the opportunity to work with a construction and development brand based in their Tempsford branch.

 

Within this role, you will be responsible for compliance with best practice license management and in life contract management of key software vendors.

 

Key tasks include:

  • Owner of software licensing compliance and proof of software entitlement
  • Work with colleagues both internal and or external to ensure that licensing models are understood, and we are compliant
  • Responsibility for responding to any external requests for licensing audit requests
  • Consult with stakeholders on new licensing requirements and assist in the development of solutions to meet those requirements
  • Work with Service Owners and Heads of IT to understand future business demand and requirements relating to licensing PMO24b JD Template v1 31/07/13 2
  • Manage team workload, ensuring that business objectives are understood and met
  • Create professional documentation explaining our software licensing strategy
  • Define Licence Management policy and standards
  • Operational supplier management of key software vendors including service review attendance and assisting in service improvement activities for vendors in scope
  • Continuously look for ways to automate and improve the service

 

?ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • License management in a multi-vendor and complex business environment
  • Team management experience
  • Extensive management of a large Microsoft license base within a Microsoft 365 environment Experience of dealing with software audits from major vendors and consultancies
  • Extensive working knowledge of software licensing programs including vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, Autodesk and Adobe
  • Excellent process definition and implementation skills
  • Working knowledge and/or general understanding of technology methodologies such as ITILv3
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • An understanding of current business trends and potential technical ramifications of changing business environments on current and future licensing solutions
  • The ability to facilitate, analyze and document requirements
  • Negotiation skills
  • Financial and budgetary skills, including the contribution to business case creation

The security technical architect will provide technical subject matter expertise, security standards and define security tools, systems and solutions.

 

Experience needed: 

 

>        The jobholder must have a thorough understanding of the security threat landscape, significant risks, technical developments and directions. 

>        Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as the jobholder must be able to operate effectively at all levels within and outside of easyJet.

>        Demonstrable experience of working in a security architecture team

>        Depth of experience in IT Technical Security, including time as a security senior practitioner

>        Experience of security systems and controls, including, vulnerability management, web content filtering, intrusion prevention, SIEM, email security,, DLP, NAC, IAM, O365, AWS, SDLC and Web Application Firewalls

>        Ability to harness the commitment and contribution of team members outside of direct span of control

>        Excellent written and oral communication skills
