In this case, we are now looking for an Art Director to be based in Sheffield.

Within this role you will:

  • Manage art teams to establish the visual content/art for each project. 
  • Take an active role in planning projects and project pitches.
  • Ensure art teams have the proper techniques and tools to deliver top quality art on a project. 
  • Regularly review and provide feedback to art staff.
  • Mentor and provide strong career guidance to art staff.
  • Establish art staff best practices and methods. 

We need you to have:

  • 7+ years’ experience in game development
  • At least 3 shipped titles
  • 3 or more years’ experience in a leading art role
  • Excellent knowledge of current game art production pipelines and practices
  • The ability to gain and maintain an excellent knowledge of all the latest games in direct competition with the products that are being developed at the studio, ensuring that the quality levels of art are maintained
  • A deep understanding of all art software packages used in studio 
  • Excellent knowledge of colour theory, composition and staging techniques
  • Knowledge of possible future software packages that may help during production and the ability to bring them into the current workflow
  • Working knowledge of engine and tool sets required to generate assets

Demonstrated Ability To:

  • Produce finished art of an exceptional quality
  • Provide effective solutions
  • Take initiative and work effectively with no guidance
  • Remain knowledgeable on current software
  • Communicate clearly and effectively (written and oral)
  • Define and maintain art production pipelines for efficiency and state of the art assets

Role – Windows Server Engineer

Day Rate - £300-350pd

Contract Length – 3 Months

Location - Watford

 

A Global Leader in a multi-disciplinary Building engineering company are looking for a Server Engineer on a contractual basis. An additional Windows Server engineer is required to supplement the team within IT that are responsible for the; maintenance, support and management of data centre servers and storage infrastructure. The role will help deliver a programme of changes (Upgrade) and to deliver operational support, meeting or exceeding agreed service levels. The server infrastructure consists of physical & virtual servers and central data storage.

 

The Role

 

The programme of changes includes, but is not limited to:

  • Migration from Microsoft Windows 2008 servers, to newer versions of Windows Server 2016.
  • Migration from Microsoft SQL 2008 servers, to newer versions of MS SQL.
  • Migration of data from tier 1 storage, to a new tier 2 storage platform.
  • Migration of a ‘private’ cloud, to on-premise data centres.
  • Remediation of issues raised during Cyber-Essentials PLUS certification related to servers.

 

This highly technical role also requires excellent customer focus and strong customer service skills in addition to good knowledge and understanding of Cyber Essentials Plus and ITIL processes.

 

Essential

 

  • Hands-on experience of supporting, monitoring, managing & securing Microsoft Windows Servers (2008, 2012 & 2016) and VMware (v5.5+) in corporate environments
  • Experience of administrating Active Directory services, including DNS, DHCP and Group Policy in corporate environments.
  • Experience of monitoring infrastructure health, performance, utilisation and capacity to help identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Experience of managing, monitoring and supporting Storage Area Networks (SAN).

 

Desirable

 

  • Experience of using and writing PowerShell script.
  • Knowledge of security best practices aligned to a recognized cyber-security standard such as; Cyber-Essentials PLUS.
  • Experience of configuring Microsoft SQL and MySQL database management systems.

Experience needed: 

 

Reporting to the CIO, you’ll already be able to demonstrable in depth experience with Supplier Management within an IT function, ideally in a fully outsourced, multi-vendor IT environment and complex business environment. You will have proven experience in successfully leading a team managing third parties, including, but not limited to, policies, performance, vendor risk, relationships, contracts (including negotiations), and issue and dispute resolution (including negotiations), and issue and dispute resolution.

 

You will also have a thorough understanding of commercial terms in IT agreements and familiarity with relevant economic, legislative and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will also have Solid grasp of financial concepts, such as depreciation schedules, IT re-charging and total cost of ownership.
