The Cloud Platform Engineering team is responsible for creating and maintaining the cloud platform and related services that allows development groups to leverage Public Cloud resources in a standard, supportable framework. This team will help to deliver and enable internal product engineering teams to leverage the cloud in a secure, scalable, and consistent manner.

Lead Cloud Platform Engineer (Data, Software Delivery, Agile, Azure, Devops. Cloud, IaC / Terraform)
What the Lead Cloud Platform Engineer role will involve
- Work closely with architects and other team members to develop and build complex cloud services and capabilities
- Develop automated processes to prevent, identify, and fix problems that impact service availability
- Develop, document, and operate toolkits for the provisioning and managing of cloud infrastructure
- Maintain an understanding of industry trends and how new technologies can be leveraged to meet business objectives
- Work as part of a larger SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) team to provide operations support for our Azure accounts, this includes being part of an on call rota as 3rd line cloud platform support
The Essential Requirements of the successful Lead Cloud Platform Engineer
- Substantial experience working as an Azure Cloud Engineer
- Experience leading cross functional teams
- Experience writing clean code (Pthon & Boto3 preferable)
- Experience working with IaC / Terraform
- Experience in automating software build
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Exposure to DevOps practices and automation of software testing, delivery and infrastructure changes
- Proven ability to investigate complex issues spanning multiple technologies and drive to completion
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
