You would work in cross-disciplinary teams and act as advocate for Engineering, providing a voice to engineers within the teams, identifying and supporting your teams in resolution of impediments and issues as well as continually developing yourself with industry best practice and tooling used across their engineering team.

What do you need to be considered for this job?

Generally, you are comfortable in a hands-on technical leadership role, blending both solid leadership experience and technical expertise.

We welcome people from a range of role and industry backgrounds but do need to see the following as a minimum for consideration, 1) 5 years + Software Engineering background with experience in building large scale applications with at least one of the following languages: Java or C#.NET, 2) technical leadership experience and desire to help coach and mentor staff, 3) great interpersonal skills and a good communicator with technical and non-technical people, 4) Passionate about driving a true modern DevOps culture, 5) good understanding and/or experience of big data/data management.

You will need to have a substantial experience with working around top level senior stakeholders, influencing operational practices and leading on strategic direction across multiple levels of an organisations. Any industry experience will be considered but professionals from either high risk or large organisations with multiple business units would be favourable.
