The Role
We are looking for a Senior BA to join our new team we are building in central Birmingham and work on cutting edge web/cloud development projects. If you are a great communicator, well organised and passionate about technology, as well as eager to develop your existing skills and experience within a fast-paced environment, then this role could be for you.

You will be providing leadership for a small team and undertake analysis work relating to business/systems requirement analysis on both new and existing systems, for various departments from broking to operations and finance. This may include some testing and training on the solutions developed in-house or externally. The role will also include an element of project management and self-organisation.

This is a great opportunity for someone with business analysis experience in an agile applications development environment. You will be managing several more junior BAs, alongside a development team, QA and product owner. Ideally, you will be educated to degree level in a technical or science related discipline or have suitable knowledge/experience and initiative to analyse and write effective and efficient requirement specifications. You will have experience interfacing with senior stakeholders up to C- level and represent the team in requirements and prioritisation sessions with the business teams. On occasions you will act as the product owner to set the strategy and delivery scope of releases based on business priority and ensure we are working on the priorities that the business require.

Key Responsibilities
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver any artefacts as needed, including the following:

  • Lead the Business Analysis function and act as Product Owner when required;
  • Functional specification documents, User stories, change requests, screen and interface designs;
  • Engage in multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Work with stakeholders up to C-level on prioritisation and product strategy and ensure these are effectively communicated to;

  • Write or provide guidance to others for the completion of support documentation, including user help documentation, guides and manuals and updates to the internal applications wiki;
  • Manage and organise development sprints, which includes scheduling of resources;
  • Create project plans for delivery of software development projects.

  • Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst/Senior BA covering the full project lifecycle
