You MUST have the following:

  • Strong experience as an Enterprise Technical Architect/Solutions Architect/Software Architect

  • Strong ability in data- architectural design and review
  • Broad, enterprise-level AS-IS and TO-BE definition and strategy making (current and future state)
  • Agile

The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:

  • Knowledge of IBOR, ABOR or TBOR
  • Experience in a buy side institution- asset manager, investment manager, hedge-fund, wealth manager
  • Experience working with reference data/market data
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Application inventory and application governance and reporting

You will be joining a global team of 6 within the investment technology area of an international asset manager in London. This team is being established to provide central governance and strategy to the area which includes Fixed Income technology, equities technology, research and data, trading systems and reference data. It's aim will be to generate a more cohesive and wholistic approach to architecture. It will require, over the next 12 months, a review and inventory of the existing application environment followed by the creation of meaningful KPI's; a significant review of the current state in order to begin defining a plan for a future state. This is within the context of advanced adoption of AWS, the implementation of a new reference data golden source, and the implementation of IBOR, TBOR and ABOR. Knowledge of all areas is highly desirable, but not essential. As is experience on the buy side.

Rate: GBP600-800/day
