This is why our Bloomberg Customer Support representative role is about more than just handling inbound phone calls - it's about building a journey for our clients and connecting them to people who keep their businesses alive.

The Global Customer Support team is the perfect place to utilise any languages you speak in addition to English - particularly if you speak fluent French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish or Japanese.

Eligibility Criteria
  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A-C in any subject

The Global Information Systems team is crucial to the smooth operation of the internal IT systems at Bloomberg. Bloomberg Information Systems provides technical support for all in-house IT systems and for all of our employees.

You will take detail oriented approach to addressing colleagues technical needs quickly and efficiently. Being an ever-evolving environment there are always new and exciting projects to get involved in.

On-Site Support :
This team works on a multitude of tasks that includes servicing our customers over the phone or on-site. It could be a simple client visit to swap out a faulty keyboard through to installing a router on site. But whatever it is you're happy to help.

If a customer can't access their Bloomberg Terminal and telephone support can't fix the problem, we will visit the client and fix the problem. We're a calm voice and have a cool head in a fast-paced environment, we're always customer service driven. Our clients internally and externally count on us.

Media (Master Control Room):
MCR Operators work in an exciting and action packed environment alongside Bloomberg TV Talent, Studio Operators, TV Producers, News and Sales Teams around the world. We also liaise with other TV companies and broadcasters to bring in news and send out Bloomberg TV to clients and viewers all over the world.

We operate from the MCR (Master Control Room) and you'll join our team delivering live TV under tight deadlines, using cutting edge technology to set up guests and reporters across the globe and assisting with satellite bookings and live channel transmission.

Supporting students, staff and members with the use of, and access to digital information resources, print based media and study space. Excellent customer service, team working, interpersonal, administrative and IT skills are essential.

Advisers use the Sunrise help desk system to log, escalate and resolve enquiries as necessary in addition to taking responsibility for a range of administrative functions and physical activities such as shelving and tidying print media.

Previous experience in a library role/HE environment would be desirable.

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Services Officer to join our IT Services team who are responsible for providing first and second line IT support to users throughout the College. The IT Services team runs and supports an advanced IT infrastructure, with Microsoft Windows 10 installed on over 2500 devices. Services and business applications are primarily hosted on Windows Server 2016 servers, in a Microsoft Hyper-V virtual environment.

As an IT Services Officer, you will resolve technical problems to ensure a high standard of performance of IT facilities within the College. Day to day, this will involve responding to requests for assistance and technical support via the IT helpdesk, maintaining existing computers and peripherals by performing upgrades, new installations and carrying out routine procedures. 

As an IT Services Officer, you should have:

  • GCSE grade A* - C / 9 - 4 in English and Maths or equivalent
  • Hold a Level 3 or higher qualification in a Business or IT related subject
  • Experience within an IT Support environment

You should also be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of fitting internal components to PCs
  • Diagnosis and resolution of software and hardware faults
  • Experience of installing and configuring software
  • Working knowledge of hardware, especially PCs and printers

Based at Wakefield Campus, travel across College campuses will be required.

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Services Officer to join our IT Services team who are responsible for providing first and second line IT support to users throughout the College. The IT Services team runs and supports an advanced IT infrastructure, with Microsoft Windows 10 installed on over 2500 devices. Services and business applications are primarily hosted on Windows Server 2016 servers, in a Microsoft Hyper-V virtual environment.

As an IT Services Officer, you will resolve technical problems to ensure a high standard of performance of IT facilities within the College. Day to day, this will involve responding to requests for assistance and technical support via the IT helpdesk, maintaining existing computers and peripherals by performing upgrades, new installations and carrying out routine procedures. 

As an IT Services Officer, you should have:

  • GCSE grade A* - C / 9 - 4 in English and Maths or equivalent
  • Hold a Level 3 or higher qualification in a Business or IT related subject
  • Experience within an IT Support environment

You should also be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of fitting internal components to PCs
  • Diagnosis and resolution of software and hardware faults
  • Experience of installing and configuring software
  • Working knowledge of hardware, especially PCs and printers
