Consultant (SQL, Java and/or C#)- Technical Implementation Services (Charles River); Officer

The Role
  • Assist, from a technical standpoint, in the implementation of a sophisticated trade order management and compliance monitoring systems to the fund management industry
  • Provide technical consultancy services for clients and their CRD Account Managers including; install, configure and test software; problem investigation; database configuration, tracing and performance analysis.
  • Provide technical consultancy services for systems integration
  • Design and development of solutions for additional Client requirements
  • This role involves extensive travel and will involve spending time working on Client sites both in London and the EMEA region.

Skills/Experience/Qualifications Required:

Technical:
  • Experience in at least one major DBMS (MS SQL Server or Oracle), including installation, configuration and development.
  • Good knowledge and experience of
    • PL/SQL or TransactSQL (MS SQL Server)
    • Complex SQL
    • Debugging and optimization
  • System interfacing and integration
  • Commercial, real life development experience in Java and/or C#.
  • Development experience in some or all of the following would be an advantage

Our client is looking for a strong leader, who has the ability to inspire change. The right candidate will lead the team responsible for customer insight, analytics and impact. They are looking for someone who can strengthen the overall approach to customer data collection, transforming the data into meaningful insight. You will effectively embed the use of behavioural analytics to nudge positive behaviours; and entrench a culture of impact measurement for the Foundation and other customer facing services, to assess whether projects make a sustainable difference to their communities.

The role

You will lead on collaborating with colleagues and key stakeholders to design and implement their approach to behavioural analytics. You will ensure your systems, capacity and resources are able to deliver outcomes through behavioural analytics; and monitor the effectiveness and impact of behavioural analytics on their customers and business. Your other focus will be to experiment with and embed the right impact measurement framework/tools within the business and coach teams along the journey understanding the difference they make in a language they can all understand.

Please note that the location of this role is flexible, we offer virtual working where possible so you have the flexibility to work for home if this is best for you. However, please be aware that you will be required to attend meetings at our offices as required.

You will have a strong track record of embedding impact tools/frameworks, in a large and diverse organisation. You will have experience of using behavioural analytics to increase positive behaviour. Immediately available AWS Solutions Architect required for an initial 6-month contract assignment with the possibility of extensions. Our clients head office is based in Berlin, Germany therefore the successful candidate will be required to travel to Berlin for a few days each week with the remainder of time spent in the clients London office or working from home.

As a hands-on Solutions Architect, you will be working along side a third party supplier responsible for AWS implementations ensuring that the correct technical decisions are being made and taking control over areas such as documentation, strategy and planning ensuring everything is in place to allow the client to move forward.

The ideal candidate will have around 10 years Architecture experience and a proven track record working on large scale, high profile programmes with budgets in excess of 20 million gained from a variety of industry sectors.
