About the role
  • Identification of functional and non-functional system requirements from operational teams to feed into the IT development lifecycle.
  • Managing system incidents through to resolution with internal and external support domains
  • Creating or contributing to solution design documentation and mock-ups on proposed functionality changes.
  • Contributing to design workshops with operational staff including IT and 3rd party suppliers.

  • Improving system quality by ensuring that we deliver the right changes at the right time, first time and every time.
  • Triage of evolving business requirements developing the confidence to challenge change requests where necessary.
  • Preparation of communications and contribute to presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives.
  • Coordinating with users to plan and execute User Acceptance Testing.


About you
Essential:
  • Good SQL skills
  • Good understanding of relational databases
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
Desired:
  • Experience working in a business systems analyst related role, ideally including some gained working within the Financial Services industry.
  • Demonstrable examples of working on IT-related system change projects and BAU, with knowledge of hardware, software and programming.
  • SSRS and SSIS advantageous
  • Familiar with agile software development methodologies
Ideally you will either be educated to degree level or have equivalent working experience. An external accreditation in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, SQL or Excel is desirable.

• Hands on Test-Driven Development (TDD) is a must
• Knowledge of software best practices and coding best practices(Clean Code) is a must
• Experience with SQL databases
• Strong experience RESTfull services
• Experience on middleware technology e.g. JMS
• Understanding of concurrent, multi-threaded, distributed application environments
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline is a plus
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments is plus
• Experience working with AWS Cloud is plus
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies is a plus
• Understanding of symmetric/asymmetric algorithms is a plus
• Experience in Financial Markets is a big plus
