Your role
IP Advisory Associates provide support to the consulting activity of the senior team, undertaking IP analysis, technology and market research, and for example preparing reports on the IP portfolios of clients and companies active in their sector. Our IP Advisory Associates are encouraged to expand their experience by working with the more experienced team members on IP-centric transactions, such as M&A, IP divestitures, acquisitions and licensing.

Responsibilities include:
  • Researching into markets and technology to understand the client’s competitive position
  • Searching and analysing patent and non-patent data to find prior art, patents for acquisition or commercialisation opportunities for client’s own patents
  • Developing marketing collateral and valuation models for a wide range of IP portfolios, including patents, trademarks, designs, database rights, knowhow and trade-secrets, in support of licensing or sale negotiations or acquisition programs
  • Assisting clients in identifying and documenting their innovation with a view to ensuring it is protected effectively, through the most appropriate IP mechanisms to support the client’s strategy and drive enterprise value
On the job training and mentoring is provided by other team members including Managers, Assistant Directors and Directors and Partners and you will contribute to a range of projects for different clients and technology/market sectors.

Your professional experience
Deloitte IP Advisory looks for highly motivated, high achieving individuals with the following qualities:
  • An engineering or science background capable of understanding complex technologies with a degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences or Mathematics (2:1 or higher); Postgraduate qualifications are particularly valued
  • Thorough and methodical approach to research, data analysis and report writing
  • A keen interest in innovation, technology and its commercial application
  • Independent, motivated and self-driven while enjoying teamwork and cooperation
  • Strong presentation and communication skills - remote and face to face client interaction is an expectation of the role
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Your role
ITS is an internal facing department, delivering a wide range of business enabling technology projects to Deloitte partners and staff located in the UK, Gibraltar and Switzerland.

The purpose of the Business Change Delivery function is to transform a business request into a fully supported technical reality accepted by the operational teams and the business requestor as being fit for purpose. This is to be achieved to an agreed quality, budget and timescale. A further objective is to provide strong change and technology leadership across the enterprise. In achieving this they need to be regarded not only as consistent but as efficient, dynamic and responsive. As an IT Project Manager within the internal IT department at Deloitte, no two projects will be the same. You will be persistent, analytical and flexible in your approach to delivering high-quality IT enabled business change to Deloitte Partners and staff.

You will be entrusted to manage projects autonomously, knowing that your manager will provide guidance and reassurance through regular catch-ups and support.

The Project Manager leads and manages the project team, with delegated authority and responsibility from the project board to run the project on a day-to-day basis. Project Managers have a key role interfacing between the ITS project and the business service lines. Project Managers are typically responsible for delivering between 1 and 3 projects concurrently. Typically these are less complex projects with lower levels of business change.
Project Mangers report to the appropriate Senior PM or Programme Manager for operational delivery related matters and will be coached by a Programme Manager in a matrix model.

The PM is responsible for:
  • Managing the production of deliverables to time, cost and quality requirements
  • Managing the expectations and satisfaction of the project’s sponsor and stakeholders
  • Directing, managing and motivating the project team
  • Creating and maintaining detailed integrated project plans
  • Managing the level of risk in the project and implementing effective change control
  • Following the organisation’s processes and best practice
  • Implementing control measures and regular reporting and take or recommend corrective actions as necessary
  • Managing project finances
  • Monitoring overall progress and use of resources and taking corrective action where necessary
  • Applying change control and configuration management
  • Maintaining an awareness of interdependencies with other projects

Your professional experience
Essential competencies and/or experience:
  • Strong of experience in a project management role in IT and/or information security
  • Strong organisational, attention to detail, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple concurrent deliverables, and ability to provide a positive influence within a team
  • Experience in stakeholder management, coordination, communications and reporting across a complex stakeholder structure
  • Experience in delivering large-scale, complex projects, particularly within the professional services industry would be considered a plus
  • Experience in financial budgeting and tracking
  • Professional project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP/PgMP or other relevant project management methodologies considered a plus
  • Professional security management certification strongly desirable, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or other similar credentials, including a recommended minimum of 5 years of combined experience in the Information Security / Cybersecurity domain
  • Understanding of associated disciplines of Security Policy and Governance
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a project management role
  • Strong leadership and relationship management skills, with an ability to build good relationships with stakeholders and the wider ITS team
  • Advanced level use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint
  • Strong risk, opportunity & issue management
  • Proficient in estimation and schedule management
  • Analytical and flexible with the ability to rapidly understand ambiguous, unfamiliar and complex concepts.

The ideal candidate would also have:
  • Experience of using an enterprise project management tool such as ServiceNow and EPM
  • Experience of agile & waterfall project management methodologies
  • Experience working with team members in offshore and onshore locations

Your role
ITS is an internal facing department, delivering a wide range of business enabling technology projects to Deloitte partners and staff located in the UK, Gibraltar and Switzerland.

The purpose of the Business Change Delivery function is to transform a business request into a fully supported technical reality accepted by the operational teams and the business requestor as being fit for purpose. This is to be achieved to an agreed quality, budget and timescale. A further objective is to provide strong change and technology leadership across the enterprise. In achieving this they need to be regarded not only as consistent but as efficient, dynamic and responsive. As an IT Project Manager within the internal IT department at Deloitte, no two projects will be the same. You will be persistent, analytical and flexible in your approach to delivering high-quality IT enabled business change to Deloitte Partners and staff.

You will be entrusted to manage projects autonomously, knowing that your manager will provide guidance and reassurance through regular catch-ups and support.

The Project Manager leads and manages the project team, with delegated authority and responsibility from the project board to run the project on a day-to-day basis. Project Managers have a key role interfacing between the ITS project and the business service lines. Project Managers are typically responsible for delivering between 1 and 3 projects concurrently. Typically these are less complex projects with lower levels of business change.
Project Mangers report to the appropriate Senior PM or Programme Manager for operational delivery related matters and will be coached by a Programme Manager in a matrix model.

The PM is responsible for:
  • Managing the production of deliverables to time, cost and quality requirements
  • Managing the expectations and satisfaction of the project’s sponsor and stakeholders
  • Directing, managing and motivating the project team
  • Creating and maintaining detailed integrated project plans
  • Managing the level of risk in the project and implementing effective change control
  • Following the organisation’s processes and best practice
  • Implementing control measures and regular reporting and take or recommend corrective actions as necessary
  • Managing project finances
  • Monitoring overall progress and use of resources and taking corrective action where necessary
  • Applying change control and configuration management
  • Maintaining an awareness of interdependencies with other projects

Your professional experience
Essential competencies and/or experience:
  • Strong of experience in a project management role in IT and/or information security
  • Strong organisational, attention to detail, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple concurrent deliverables, and ability to provide a positive influence within a team
  • Experience in stakeholder management, coordination, communications and reporting across a complex stakeholder structure
  • Experience in delivering large-scale, complex projects, particularly within the professional services industry would be considered a plus
  • Experience in financial budgeting and tracking
  • Professional project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP/PgMP or other relevant project management methodologies considered a plus
  • Professional security management certification strongly desirable, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or other similar credentials, including a recommended minimum of 5 years of combined experience in the Information Security / Cybersecurity domain
  • Understanding of associated disciplines of Security Policy and Governance
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a project management role
  • Strong leadership and relationship management skills, with an ability to build good relationships with stakeholders and the wider ITS team
  • Advanced level use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint
  • Strong risk, opportunity & issue management
  • Proficient in estimation and schedule management
  • Analytical and flexible with the ability to rapidly understand ambiguous, unfamiliar and complex concepts.

The ideal candidate would also have:
  • Experience of using an enterprise project management tool such as ServiceNow and EPM
  • Experience of agile & waterfall project management methodologies
  • Experience working with team members in offshore and onshore locations

Customer Support Lead, Asset Accelerator, Risk Advisory, Cardiff

Deloitte Asset Accelerator is currently looking to recruit a Customer Support Lead, dedicated to one of our flagship Products â€" True Voice.
The Customer Support Lead needs to be customer-centric, focused on satisfaction, value and impact. In this role you will be based in our Cardiff delivery centre and work with the Asset Accelerator Operations team, with True Voice Product team and with external clients.

Your role
Your role will have multiple responsibilities including:
  • Lead and drive the external client facing and internal project team support function for TrueVoice
  • Build knowledge base and FAQ
  • Implement standardised ticketing systems including monitoring and reporting, using existing tools and frameworks
  • Build 7/7 support framework including coverage, Roles and Responsibilities, escalation levels.
  • Liaise with Customer Success on client on-boarding, BAU and overall support
  • Implement technical reporting (for internal and external clients)
  • Occasionally support with DevOps activities
  • Liaise closely with product function for feature requests, market intel and overall operability of the solution
  • Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

Work pattern: This is a permanent opportunity. The role can be worked on a full time basis.

Your professional experience
  • Exposure to programme management and standard SW tools (JIRA/ GIT etc.)
  • Understanding of common programming languages, ability to code against API
  • Solid understanding of AWS Cloud compute
  • Experience of application development and support lifecycle
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies, learn quickly and pass on this knowledge to other team members
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communicator and decision maker
Experience in the following is desirable:
  • Experience setting up a support organisation in an enterprise setting, or have experience leading a support team
  • Experience of agile project management approaches and tools (eg Atlassian Jira/Confluence)
  • ITIL experience
