Your role
Consultants/Senior Consultants will have responsibility for:

• Defining test plans for large, complex or specialised client test delivery;
• Leading or supporting client test delivery, ensuring the testing meets quality, time and cost objectives;
• Providing advice on testing tools and leveraging them effectively to deliver a successful outcome;
• Working with key stakeholders at the client, building strong trusted relationships;
• Reviewing test processes and practices and coaching the team on enhancement opportunities;
• Supporting our industry and proposition Testing leads to develop & implement existing & new go-to-market propositions
• Contribute to Deloitte’s thought leadership in Testing

To qualify for the role Consultants/Senior Consultants must have:

• Experience of some or all of; functional system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing or non-functional testing including performance and automation
• A good awareness of the role that testing tools play in the software development lifecycle, the types of tools and where it is appropriate and useful to apply them
• Client-facing experience
• ISTQB Foundation Level certificate (or equivalent experience)
• Test management tool expertise (such as HP ALM)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proven technical ability - combined with strong business acumen
• Acute attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and often changeable client environment
• Strong academic record
• Demonstrable rapid career progression to-date

Additional desirable experience includes:

• A proven track record in a top tier consultancy
• Demonstrable experience writing and executing automation test scripts using open source and/or commercial test automation tools â€" Selenium, Visual Studio Test Professional, Cucumber, UFT (formerly QTP)
• Ability to design and implement test automation frameworks
• Experience in administering a test management tool (e.g. HP ALM)

Your role

Your role
Your role will be to support and play a key role in undertaking complex M&A Technology assignments within our Financial Advisory Transaction Services division. You will undertake IT health assessments and exit readiness reviews, support buy-side, sell-side, IPO and re-financing projects from inception to completion; and cover pre-transaction reporting, Day 1 preparation and integration/separation support. Your role
Your role will be to support and play a key role in undertaking complex M&A Technology assignments within our Financial Advisory Transaction Services division. You will undertake IT health assessments and exit readiness reviews, support buy-side, sell-side, IPO and re-financing projects from inception to completion; and cover pre-transaction reporting, Day 1 preparation and integration/separation support. You will support transactions across all industry sectors including Digital, Technology and Financial Services.

The Assistant Manager will have responsibility for:

•Delivering and reviewing high-quality, transaction reports and other M&A work products
•Provide day to day Programme Management Office support on our engagements, assisting IT workstreams to fulfil their programme objectives and deliverables
•Engage with colleagues and client senior management to drive the completion of actions, management of risks and issues and facilitation of decision making
•Research and analysis of IT information including IT cost data, IT contracts and IT qualitative information
•Support the development of key documents for a transaction e.g. Transitional Service Agreements, status reports, Steerco reports and papers addressing strategic issues
•Managing IT integrations and separations and identify IT synergies/ one-off/ ongoing costs either within a larger team or as an advisor on smaller engagements
•Develop your expertise in reporting to senior executives, facilitating large workshops, benefits tracking, change control and stakeholder management.
•Develop your consulting skills in strategic thinking, programme and change management
•Drawing on knowledge and experience across all aspects of IT in business, providing insightful, deal-relevant points of view and recommendations based on robust analysis.
•Taking ownership for quality and risk management, ensuring that all client work is delivered consistently complying with Deloitte quality and risk rules and guidelines
•Contribute to practice and business development activities e.g. through the development of thought leadership material and/or sales materials
•Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

Essential:

•Demonstrable understanding of key financial concepts, and experience of IT cost modelling

  • Maintain IT team documentation in coordination with the IT manager
  • Ensure all IT services in meeting rooms are tested on a regular basis

  • Physical assembly of new computers and IT equipment including network cabling
  • Phone system support
  • User inductions and training on Microsoft and 3rd party products 

Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • At least a year’s experience in first line support on Windows platform
  • Proven experience with desktop computer assembly and Microsoft Windows and Office package
  • Experience or knowledge of supporting Microsoft Office 2013 and above, Office 365 services, Windows 10, web browsers – IE / Chrome, GoToMeeting
  • Experience supporting a business network
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with staff at all levels of the business
  • Experience with Mac support, user training, thin client / RDS would be beneficial
