Purpose of the role
To get the best out of our investments in our Software applications and platforms, your main task will be centred on improving user productivity and business process efficiencies. As a Business Analyst, you will work alongside the other Analysts and get involved in the requirements analysis - understanding how current business processes work - before proposing/recommending improved methods of working. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in Project Implementation and some User Acceptance Testing.

Your key responsibilities will include:
• Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
• Assisting with ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies
• Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems
• Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings
• Performing requirements analysis

They specialise in Commercial Fit Out, Cut & Carve and specialist Data Centres and have three core Divisions (Business Interiors Unit, Core and Major Projects.) Project Values range from under £1 Million – more than £80 Million

Due to an influx of work, they are now looking to bolster their Operational Team with a Technical Services Manager within their Major Projects Division to work on projects in excess of £50M.  

Position: Technical Services Manager – Salary £65,000-£85,000 (depending on experience) + Car Allowance + Pension + Healthcare – London

Role:

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing drawings and advising the design team on the coordination of the M&E services within the overall building design
  • Tender review and sub-contractor selection
  • Input in to the construction programme and integrating the M&E programme in to it, including the commissioning phase
  • Monitoring and reporting on progress against the project programme working closely alongside the project team and driving the M&E install accordingly
  • Testing and checking installations and ensuring the commissioning is planned and carried out effectively
  • Ensuring building regulations and health and safety requirements are met
  • Attending meetings and presenting ideas and progress reports to managers and clients
  • Advising clients on how the building services will operate once the building is complete as part of the handover process

The ideal Candidate:

  • A good understanding of both mechanical and electrical services coming from a mechanical trades background or professional qualification in engineering
  • Good communication and people management skills both upstream and downstream, including delivering progress and finance reports
  • Good leadership and decision-making skills with experience of managing specialist M&E install teams.
  • Consistent and conscientious ensuring high standards are met in terms of meeting progress targets according to the programme of works, quality compliance according to the drawings and specifications, and health and safety regulations
  • Ability to build and develop long-term relationships with external professionals, clients, contractors and suppliers.
  • Either come from a Main Contracting background working as an Assistant TSM / TSM or someone working for a M&E Contractor as an Engineer.
  • HNC/HND would be desirable
